Shibuya with customers (1) Yesterday, a drinking party for a group of four with occasional customers. A rather nice restaurant on the edge of Shibuya. A little nice restaurant on the outskirts of Shibuya. The first sake was a request from one of the other guests, Niida Shizen-shu, which none of us had ever had before. (I've had it a few times myself 😆). But the "Tamura" that came out was the first time I had ever had it! 😘. It's like a natural sake, dark and strong. Sweet, tasty, sour all there 😋. But not as sweet as regular natural sake? First dish, hand-rolled seared conger eel and shijimi clam soup!

Get it at "Marugoto Kochi" in Ginza, Tokyo❗️. I had never heard of this brand before, but it was delicious ❣️. The rice used was something from Kochi Prefecture. It has a fresh citrusy taste like a fresh sake, with a rich mouthfeel, but it goes down smoothly. The aftertaste is clean and crisp. If I had to say something, I would say that I would like a little more sweetness, but it is just right for light drinking.

Second day of Kochi Night. The cab driver told me that Hirome is good, but for bonito, I should go to Matsuri Jaya. He advised me to go to Matsuri Jaya for bonito, as it has a good selection of alcohol. So we went to Matsuri Jaya. At first, we started out with regular sake, just like a normal drinking party in Kochi. The staff at the restaurant recommended various temperatures for drinking. The first sake is Fujimusume, which I have never tried before. Slightly spicy and umami-guchi (flavorful), it was a perfect match for the thickly sliced salt cod roe. The special sake cup is also cute! But from here, I sank into the swamp of Kochi sake.

[Fukui Spring New Sake Festival 10] I'm on my 10th cup of sake 😁. I was looking for my favorite "Hakugakusen" and found that it was only available on the first day of the event, so I went here instead 🍶. Unnoi Junmai Ginjo Nama Genjyo. Banana-like aroma, gentle sweetness on the palate, and a lingering mild umami aftertaste. I have a connection with "Kumonoi" since I brought it to the Kansai Sake-no-Iwa offline meeting I attended last summer, and it is still delicious when I drink it again.

This bottle was given to me as a birthday gift last year. I've been accumulating a stock of sake, so I decided to drink it slowly. It's a rare opportunity to see a bottle of sake in a tobin enclosure! It makes my heart dance ✨. When you open the bottle and pour it, you can smell a slight ginjo aroma. It is almost scentless. The mouthfeel is very clean, but the soft, milky sake quality and subtle sweetness of the rice gradually covers the tongue! The spiciness and the strength of 16% alcohol can be felt in the latter half of the bottle, but the overall flavor is moderate. I think I have not had such a clear sake since I drank the highest quality sake of "Akagisan" (12,000 yen for 720ml)! It is as pure as a gentle breeze. It quietly accompanies you from the beginning to the end. The taste is the very embodiment of "elegance. It is a good bottle to drink by itself or to enjoy as a food wine! Enjoy it carefully over the course of the day👍.

It's white and looks like ❄️⛄️. Sweet and mellow I was expecting it to be thicker, but it's pretty easy to drink 😊. I read the label on the back and it looks like it would be great with soda! I should have tried it! I realized today that I should have tried it. All the drinks in this set are new to me. I was also surprised that the bananas had a higher alcohol content! ฅ(⊙д⊙๑)ฅ

Today is a holiday. But I went to work. On the way home, I found a four-character phrase I wanted to try, Nagasaki Prefecture's...four-character phrase? I found a four-letter phrase, "sixty-you-you-shu" in Nagasaki Prefecture, which I had wanted to try! Is the Kanto region the same as Nagasaki Prefecture? (I don't know what the weather is like there.) I decided to drink it right away. It's a heavy fruity wine. Is it the fruity rice flavor? And even though it is a draft sake, it doesn't have a sharp taste, but rather a calm taste. I like this kind of taste. Nagasaki Prefecture has a lot of sake that I like!

Yahiko Sake Brewery in Yahiko Village, Niigata Prefecture. The main brand was "Echino Hakusetsu," but it appears that "Yahiko" will be the main brand from now on. This Junmai Ginjo is also made from Yamadanishiki produced in Yahiko Village, and is a good sake, not fruity, but calm and soft. Yahiko Village is where my mother is from, and I spent a lot of time there as a child when I was sent to my mother's home, so it is like a second home to me. Yahiko Shrine, the first shrine in Echigo, is located there.

Yahiko's regular sake, Aozae, by Yahiko Shuzo Sake rice is Koshibuki produced in Yahiko village. Aozae has a refreshing, watery quality. Aozae is a perfect evening sake without any peculiarities. Yahiko Shrine is the largest shrine in Echigo Province. My mother is from Yahiko Village and I used to stay at her parents' house in Yahiko Village when I was a child, so Yahiko is like my second home.

For my fourth cup, I decided on the "Koshihikari" which caught my attention! The palate is clean and refreshing, but as you taste it, it mellows out a bit with a banana feel. The acidity tightens it up so that it does not interfere with the taste, so it is well-balanced and easy to drink👍.

Koshino-Hachiho Junmai Sake This is also a brand new to me! It is a light and dry sake with the main flavor of rice. It is a typical food sake that does not interfere with the taste of the meal.

Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store Sake Expo 2025 SAKE EXPO⑭ Echigo Hachiho has recently become a common sight at events. The limited-edition Junmai sake It was recommended as a slightly dry sake, but it had a Sake meter rating of +5, which made it seem even spicier than it was. ◯Limited limited stock-out Junmai Harushibori-junmai It was a bit gorgeous and refreshing, but later it became a bit spicy. ◯Okirigarami It was quite clear, gentle and powdery. It was my favorite type in this booth. (I forgot to take a picture... the sake subtly reflected next to the spring Shibori)
