This is one of the main brands of Watanabe Sake Brewery in Ogaki City.
It is brewed by the only female toji in Gifu Prefecture.
It is made from 100% Gifu Prefecture's specially grown Hatsushimo rice.
Purchased at an Aeon liquor store in Kakamigahara City.
The aroma is similar to yogurt.
The palate has a nutty flavor and sweetness with a touch of astringency. It is smooth and easy to drink.

I stopped by Watanabe Sake Brewery and bought it.
The brewery building is quaint, but the store is a very orthodox liquor store!

I thought it would be sweet or fresh from the sake name, but it was quite dry with a sour taste 😳.
It's clean and crisp, with a hint of rice on the palate 🤔.

The venue is a large room with sake brewery booths located near the walls 🛖.
Despite the brand name, there is almost no sweetness, and the rice 🌾ness is felt first.

It looks like Minonishiki is a brand name that's been around for a long time.

There is no ginjo aroma, and it doesn't have enough flavor to be called "Ajiginjo".

There are two types of junmai nama-zake, and this one is sweeter, so I tried it.
