Purchased in January at Kinase, a local sake brewery in Mito. I chose this brand for the Ibaraki local sake category. I was really torn between Watanabune and this one, which I had never had before. When I checked the aroma, I found a sour, vinegar-like smell... Looking at the label, we discovered that it had been bottled more than half a year. I didn't realize how much a draft sake deteriorates after half a year, even if the bottle is unopened... The taste is also undeniably deteriorated, but it is drinkable without any problems. It has a slight melon-like flavor with almost no sweetness. It is easy to drink as it is refreshing and sharp. I drank it much more smoothly. There is no doubt that the original is delicious. I want to revisit Matsumori for this...! But I didn't know it smelled like this. I learned a lot.

I couldn't go anywhere during the second half of GW because I had to stay at home. So on the last day, I will just enjoy the feeling of traveling with this cup of sake. I was impressed with the Miyamanishiki Hi-Kiri that I had previously tasted, so I tried the nama-shu as well. It is fruity, sweet and delicious, but a little refreshing. It also seems to have more acidity. The hi-ire version seems more cohesive, but I personally prefer the nama-zake. It tasted good when it was first opened, but on the third day, it's not so good. This was the third bottle we drank on New Year's Day. We saved the Hakurakusei we had brought for another time and opened a bottle of Okutanba provided by my sister and her husband, as we did last year. It is dry but slightly fruity and easy to drink. Happy New Year! After making Zoni, I finally had my first drink. I started the year with Kaneizumi, which I received from a friend the day before yesterday. The aroma is good, but the taste is sweet and fruity at first, followed by a refreshing acidity that lingers in the mouth, and finally the taste of rice lingers. The sweet and fruity taste fills the mouth at first. According to my friend, he has been drinking Kaneizumi since the old days when it was made by Horimoto Shuzo. and then it was taken over by Aihara Shuzo of Amego no Tsuki with the toji-san.
