Sake meter = around 2.0 Acidity = around 1.4 Amino acidity = around 1.1 (From the brewery's website) If you are going to drink a cup of sake, you want it to have this level of quality. This is a bottle from a long-established brewery in Handa, Aichi, which has been in existence since the Edo period.

Enjoy cheap sushi at Totoro, a popular standing sushi bar under the elevated railway tracks of Himeji Station. Although it is a stand-up style sushi bar, there is always a long line of customers because of the high quality of the food. Since I was there, I asked for a local sake, Yaegaki. It was not sweet, but it was not dry either. It was about medium spicy. I am not talking about curry. I had it cold, but I feel it is all-around good at room temperature or hot. It's great for a kotteri type of stuff.

We bought it at Shiramizu Sake Shop in Takaramachi, Kasuga City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The owner was very kind and explained a lot about sake, and when I told him I prefer fruity sake, he recommended this sake.
