boukenSake brought by Mr. Jive. He brought sake from his hometown, Fukui. It was a completely new sake for me. I guess I'll have to go there to buy it or take this opportunity to drink it. Unlike the image on the classical label, it was sweet, flavorful, and mellow. It lingered for a while after drinking. I was happy to drink my first sake. Thank you very much 🙏. The third one is an empty bottle taken by Aladdin. The diverse lineup is spectacular. We arrived at the Tennoji Ekimae stop around 5pm. I got the impression that everyone, including myself, was much drunker than usual. After that, 7 of us headed to the after-party. Later I wonder how I went to the second party when my memory of the first party is still a bit hazy 🤣. I could go on a bit longer....

ジャイヴHello bouken ☀☀☀. Thank you for the review, I hope it was to your liking 🙇. I thought you were a very strong drinker at the after-party, but I guess you were drunk 😁.

ポンちゃんbouken, thanks for completing your review of the Hankai Train Offline Meeting😊. I'm amazed at how well you wrote about the flavors and how quintessential it was 👍✨ Also, it was really awesome to see so many drinks that I don't think I'll ever be able to drink again!

boukenGyve, good evening 😃. I thought I was fine at the time, but looking back I can hardly remember the second meeting, so I must have been very drunk 🙄 I probably drank more than 4 gongs in the first meeting 🤪.

boukenSake brought by pyonpyon. Before I narrowed down the list of sake to bring to the off-line meeting and Hyogo sake, Momonosato was also on my list of candidates. A harmony of classic atmosphere and gentle sweetness. Compared to the Momonosato sakes I have had in the past, this one seemed dry, but I could sense that it had been carefully brewed.

boukenSake brought by Nemuchi-san. I can't guarantee the taste as it was kept in the refrigerator at home. But that was not the case at all 😁. It has a gentle citrusy sweet flavor. As Pon-chan wrote, I think the corners have been removed and it has become more rounded. I think that makes it easier to drink. I think it tastes better if you let it sit for a while. I thought so. Thank you, Nemuchi-san, for your precious sake 🙏.

こぞうMr. Bouken. Good evening... New Sei Lapidus 💎 which is no longer sold. It's actually laying in the fridge at home😪. When shall I kiss💋 to wake up the princess? 😁

boukenHi Kojo 😃 The lot I drank offline says it can be aged for about 3 years, so I'm torn 🤔. And it's hard to open it if I can't buy it anymore 😥.

アラジンOff-line meeting of "SAKEWA KANSAI_HANKAI TRAIN charter" held on 2023.8.26. This is the first break. The 14th one of my check-in. Orchid sake provided by sake-run. Musuhi" is a germinated brown rice sake from Terada Honke in Chiba Prefecture! Threatening 100% polished rice 😳. It is not polished at all, so it might be more correct to call it 0% polished rice. It is a fermented food made from unpolished germinated brown rice brewed by the power of microorganisms in the brewery. Maybe because it's not strained, it's not even exactly sake (seishu) since it's classified as "other brewed sake" 😅. Naturally, it is not fire-aged and is constantly fermenting in the bottle, so beware of explosions: ⚠️ At the offline meeting, Nemuchi-san, the bottle-opening meister, carefully and safely opened the bottle in more than 10 minutes 😁. The appearance is a sloppy creamy brown germinated brown rice juice that fizzes vigorously! The aroma is a refreshing brine ☺️ When I drank it, it had a sludgy, viscous texture with a healthy gasiness and a rice grain feel that also remained. The first attack of strong acidity, which is not expected when drinking sake 😆. The sweetness and umami complexity of the rice is all mixed in there, and it was truly a drink that gave me the nourishment of nature. Thank you sake-run for this valuable experience 😊. Thanks for the treat 🍶.

さけランWhat a surprise! I didn't expect Aladdin-san to do the same for me! (Thank you so much!) But you came up with "sprouted brown rice soup"! Your choice is indeed excellent. Thank you very much for your kindness 😌.

アラジンThank you, sake-run 😊I was able to feel a part of the essence of orchid sake with my five senses! I think low-polished sake itself is a trend, so I would like to pursue low-polished sake in a different direction from orchid sake 😁🍶.

boukenSake brought by Kyuzo. It was fun to meet you and Mr. Lutemi at the sake shop in Harukas 😁. It's been a long time since I've had Tenbi. I've always wanted to try Aizan. It has a gorgeous ginjo aroma, and the taste is also gorgeous, giving the impression of fine sweetness and deliciousness. I'm not sure if it's right for me. I'm not sure.

アラジンOff-line meeting of "Sake-no-wa Kansai_Hankai Train Charter" held on August 26, 2023. The plan was for each participant to bring a four-pack of sake and drink it all. This is the 13th bottle I checked in. Courtesy of Rafa papa. It is "Toyoake Summer Junmai Hydrangea" from Ishii Shuzo in Satte City, Saitama Prefecture! Toyoake is a brand that surprised me when I first drank a test brew of Ichikiichikai G-yeast at Chuin-san the other day, which was extremely delicious. I had heard from Rafa papa that he also enjoyed it, and he bought this one when he went back to his hometown and brought it to the off-line meeting! It's nice to know that we can enjoy the same sake 🥰. I can say the same for all the drinks we drank in the second half of the party, but it's a shame that I can't give you a full review because I drank them when I was already very drunk 😢. My impression is that the aroma is mild, the taste has a good sweetness but also has a moderate acidity, and it is a dry and dry sake with a refreshing flavor that flows down the palate before it is swallowed down the throat. Toyoake Isseiichikai G-yeast, which I drank before, was a gorgeous dark sweet-tasting sake, but this one is a dry, dry sake for summer, but it is not enough for the greedy sake lover. Thank you, Rafa papa!

アラジンOff-line meeting of "Sake-no-wa Kansai_Hankai Train Charter" held on August 26, 2023. The plan was for each participant to bring a four-pack of sake and drink it all. I am really sorry, but this is the 12th bottle of my check-in, which is limited to 2 or 3 more bottles. Sake provided by Kyuzo🍶. It is "Tenbi Junmai Daiginjo Banshu Aizan" from Choshu Shuzo in Yamaguchi Prefecture! This is the third of four sake releases of jun-dai with different sake rice, same rice polishing and same yeast, and I had not been able to drink this one! Miki Fujioka, the head brewer of Choshu Brewery, graduated from the Department of Brewing at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Brewing and worked at other breweries for about 20 years before being headhunted by the newly born Choshu Brewery to brew Amami. His personality can be seen in the episode where he refused the headhunt because he thought he would cause trouble to others if he could not live up to their expectations. ☺️ He has a very impressive smile and always brews with "all the love and gratitude he can muster. Tenbi is only 3 years old, but it is already a popular brand! Now, here is Amami Junmai Daiginjo Aizan. As you can imagine, a gorgeous and beautiful ginjo aroma spreads. On the palate, it is full of rich, juicy sweetness and umami, with a hint of gas. It was delicious 😊. Thank you, Kyuzo-san, for the treat 🍶.

boukenThe alcohol I brought. Final Hyogo sake The ones I've had in the past Sake that would not be covered This is what I chose under these conditions. Special A district Yamadanishiki, 39% polished rice Limited release in Hyogo Prefecture. Hyakumoku itself is now available outside of the prefecture, but only the unfiltered sake is available only in Hyogo Prefecture, and online sales are not allowed due to Kikumasamune's wishes. The specs suggest that they are very conscious of Otters. The official website claims that the gasiness is appealing, but whether it's because I'm drunk or because of the difference in solids, I couldn't feel any gasiness... It has a firm sweet flavor with a peach-like fruitiness. The final taste is a bit like Kiku-Masamune? I don't know if it's a claim of Kiku-Masamune or not, but there are glimpses of sake. Personally, I prefer it to Ottersai. It was not as good as the impression I had when I drank it in the past, but... Before, I thought it was gassy and the overall flavor impression was like a snowy Kayasha... I think this offline lineup is too unique and unmemorable 🤔. I'll think more about it next time 🙄. Maybe a shift to a stronger peculiarity? The fourth photo is of the Abiko Michi garage taken by Yoohee-san. It's the oldest car in regular service in Japan, right? It has no air conditioning, so it sleeps in the garage in summer 😪.

ポンちゃんGood evening, bouken 🌙. I've never tasted a good major sake before, so I was pleasantly surprised 👍✨I tried very hard to find Kiku-Masamune, but it had a bit of an aftertaste 😳. I'm afraid that next time, they'll all bring their own kusei strong 🤣.

アラジンOff-line meeting of "Sake-no-wa Kansai_Hankai Train Charter" held on August 26, 2023. Each participant brought a four-pack of sake and drank it all. This is the 11th bottle of my check-in, which I would like to try as long as I can remember, but it is about time... This sake was provided by Ofuji-san. Kamikawa Taisetsu Kitashizuku Junmai Ginjyo Sakura Label from Kamikawa Taisetsu Shuzo in Kamikawa-cho, Kamikawa-gun, Hokkaido 🌸. It's a foul play for a handsome guy to bring such a fashionable sake😄. Kamikawa Taisetsu Sake Brewery is a new sake brewery that started brewing sake in 2017 from the Midorigaoka Brewery in Kamikawa Town, Hokkaido. They are actively expanding their business in Hokkaido, including the creation of the Hekiun Brewery on the campus of Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in Tokachi in 2020 and the Goryono-Brewery in Hakodate in 2021. The brewery brews with Hokkaido terroir, using 100% contract-cultivated, Hokkaido-grown rice suitable for sake brewing. The appearance is a misty white color with a hint of sake lees, as is typical of spring sake. On the palate, it has a slightly thick texture with a slight gassy sensation. The gentle sweetness and umami of the rice, typical of orikarami, spreads softly, and the minimal acidity finishes it off. It was also quite to my liking! I know I'm persistent, but I still wanted to drink more😅. Thank you for the food, Ofuji-san 🍶.

アラジンOff-line meeting of "Sake-no-wa Kansai_Hankai Train Charter" held on August 26, 2023. The plan was for each participant to bring a four-pack of sake and drink it all up. This is the 9th bottle of my check-in at the late timing that I am the only one who still contributes. Sake provided by Masha-san. It is "Garakudai Test Brewing 3rd" from Tenryo Cup Brewery in Sado City, Niigata Prefecture. This is another sake I wanted to try! In 2018, the then youngest and industry inexperienced Toji Kato continued to brew Garakudai with a logical and scientific approach, and the quality of the sake has remarkably improved, making it particularly popular these days. This time, it is a test brew limited to 1000 bottles of Junmai Daiginjo standard sake using a mutant strain of yeast No. 7 (a yeast that produces high levels of isoamyl acetate). Recalling the memory, the modest but refreshing muscat-like aroma is pleasant, the mouthfeel is smooth like water, and the soft and clear sweetness and acidity go away and disappear. It was delicious with a slightly fruity nuance added to the image, while retaining the watery lightness that is typical of Gagakuyo 😊. Thanks for the treat, Masha-san! On a side note, Garakudai (Utashiro) is often referred to as "Masayo" or something like that, but it was interesting and funny that someone read it as "junk" 😁.

boukenSake brought by Mr. Umaumai. He got it through a business deal with a certain person in Aichi 😁. We were all delighted to see the rare sake 😆. It is a limited edition sake sold only at Miyajima-san's sake shop in Sanada-machi, Ueda City, where the rice used for this sake comes from, and at the Okazaki Sake Brewery's direct sales outlet. It is sweet and easy to drink. It was sweeter and tastier than the Shinshu Kamerei I have had so far. Thank you to Umaisan for planning, reserving, and preparing the snacks for this event. boukenLiquor brought by Mr. Luteltemi. It has a good balance of sweetness, flavor, and acidity, making it easy to drink and never getting tired of the taste. I would like to keep it at home as an evening drink. The taste of this basic junmai sake is a testament to Abeno's strength. The third and fourth pictures were taken by Luteltemi's husband on the train we were on. The composition with Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine and Harukas in the background gives it a regional feel 🤗.

boukenKansai Sake no Wa: Sake brought by Mr. Sakeran, the comedian in charge of comedy. This time, the impact of this sake was so strong that it took everything with it 🙄 and blew my memory of the other sake 🤣. Everyone calls this drink "orchid sake" 🤣. The bubbling was so strong that Nemuchi-san, who was in charge of opening the bottle, struggled to open the bottle 😅. After about 15 minutes? Finally, the bottle was opened after about 15 minutes 😅. Thank you very much for opening all the drinks for this off-line meeting 🙇. Yellowish cloudy. It has a strong bran smell like pickles. Sorry for frowning before drinking, Mr. Lan 🙏. It has a strong gassy, bran-like and strong graininess. It is sweeter and easier to drink than the Genmai-shu of Kinkame that I drank in the past. You all said it would go well with Sakae Lan-san's homemade pork chops, but I'd already eaten them before drinking this 😭 I'm not sure what to make of this! I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not 💪. It was that kind of sake 😋. I applaud Sakaran-san's courage to bring such a peculiar sake 😆.

アラジンThe "Sake-no-wa Kansai_Hankai Train Charter Off-line Meeting" held on 2023.8.26. Drunkenness is progressing and my memory is almost at its limit, so here is the 8th bottle of my check-in. It's Lapis 2020 from the colors series by Shinmasa Sake Brewery in Akita Prefecture, provided by Nemuchi-san 😳. It has already been announced that the LAPIS series has been discontinued and will regrettably come to an end with the LAPIS that exists in the world today. I was thinking "Oh, I never drank Lapis after all" when I was able to have it this time😊. As you know, the colors series is a fire-brewed series with different sake rice, but Lapis is Miyamanishiki. The LAPIS is Miyamanishiki, the third largest sake rice produced in Nagano Prefecture. The appearance is clear crystal. The aroma is subdued, with hints of apple and pear. On the palate, the texture is smooth and fresh, with a clear, fruity sweetness and umami, followed by a gentle acidity that spreads and quickly clears up. The after-flavor has a light bitterness, but it does not linger. I remember this with the help of the flavor comment on the back etiquette. Anyway, I had the impression that it was a clean and clear sake with a transparent aroma and taste. Thank you, Nemuchi-san, for the treat 🍶 & thank you for the bottle-opening service: 🙇‍♂️

It was a pleasure to finally meet Mr. Wakata, and since we were next to each other, we were able to talk quite a bit 😊. He seems like an interesting person and I look forward to meeting him in the future 😁. My first Miyaganbai. I've always wanted to drink it, but it's hard to buy in Kansai.... アラジンOff-line meeting of "Sake-no-wa Kansai_Hankai Train Charter" held on August 26, 2023. Each participant brought a four-pack of sake and drank it all. This is the seventh bottle of my check-in, which was slow in coming. This sake was provided by Usagoten. It's the second glass of Hana-yosu for the first time in my life 😳. What a luxury ☺️ Ginpu is a brand name of Hokkaido's own local variety. It is the second type of sake brewing rice in Hokkaido after Hatsushizuku, which was developed with the idea that "both rice and water are produced in Hokkaido. With its large heart white, high expression rate, and resistance to rice blast, Ginpu is the sake rice that led to the spread of sake brewing with Hokkaido rice. Appearance was slightly hazy 🤔. The aroma was like pineapple or ruby grapefruit with a refreshing acidity and sweetness. The taste was cleaner than the aroma, with a gentle gassy stimulation and a clear, clean sweetness and umami, followed by a tightening of acidity and bitterness to finish off the taste. My personal impression was that it was a rather mature hana-yosu, as I felt the nuance of bitterness was rather strong. It was a beautifully flavored sake with a gorgeous aroma and a bitter tightness, and it was delicious. ☺️ Thank you for the treat, Usagigoten 🍶.

boukenThe sake that Masha-san brought. Why do I read it as "Masayo" when I've been told many times that it's "Utashiro"? 🤣 Maybe it's a cross between "Masha-san" and "Masayo"? It has a light muscat flavor. It's a little gassy and sweet, but not too sweet, with a little minerality, which I personally like. I need to drink more Garakudai and Tenryohai, but there is only one store in Kansai that carries them.... They don't bring Garakudai to department stores.

boukenSake brought by kan. I was secretly looking forward to seeing what kan and Jive would bring this time 😁. Chivalry! Personally, I like the name of this sake. I drink a lot of it when I go out for drinks, but I don't often buy it because there are so many different kinds, such as different BYs, and the price is high. I also like that it is wrapped in newspaper. It looks like Chochin from the same Aichi Prefecture. I've had a similar specs in the past, but this sake is creamy and bursting with the sweetness and umami of the rice. I think there was also a gaseous taste. According to Gyve's review and information from the liquor store, it is a blend of residuals from the original sake.

アラジンThe "Sake-no-wa Kansai_Hankai Train Charter Off-line Meeting" held on 2023.8.26. The 6th bottle of my check-in. This sake was provided by Mr. Yoohee. It is "Yuma" from Fukuoka Prefecture's Nanayo Sake Brewery. I didn't expect to be able to drink the sake that is currently tied for #1 on my list of Kyushu sake I want to drink 😳. Shichiyou Shuzo is a long-established sake brewery with a 160-year history, but is an up-and-coming brewery that moved its brewery and started brewing anew in 2022. Yuma is one of their first commemorative bottles! The brand name comes from the old name of Mt. Yukawa near the brewery, "Yuma-yama," which is also mentioned in the Manyoshu anthology. It is a low-alcohol designed sake brewed from Yamada-Nishiki produced in Fukuoka Prefecture with a rice polishing ratio of 60%. The appearance is a mist-white color. The aroma is citrusy with a refreshing acidity. On the palate, the acidity, sweetness, and bitterness reminiscent of grapefruit spread with the stimulation of gaseous sensation and disappear quickly. The aftertaste is short. The taste is "intense and refreshing" as described by the brewer, which is understandable. There are still many issues to be addressed, such as aroma and flavor complexity and persistence, but first, I would like to congratulate the brewery on its first start: ㊗️ Thank you for the food, Mr. Yoohee 🍶. Special thanks to Haruei Chichi and everyone at Fukuoka Sake-no-wa 🙇.

ゆーへーAladdin, good evening. ⭐︎ I was relieved to find someone who knew when Aladdin said, "I was wondering ✨" I'm sure many people don't know the brand, but I'm glad I brought it along because I was absolutely confident of the taste 💡.

アラジンGood evening, Yoohee-san! I was so happy to be able to drink Yuma 🤣I try to check out Kyushu's sake as much as possible because it suits my taste, and I have been wanting to drink Yuma and Miyanomatsu so I was blessed with the right sake connection 🍶😊.
