Resuming check-ins after skipping them.
Don't carry over from this year to next year
I'm going to keep my comments low key.
Mellow, autumnal, junmai-like sake with a gentle spread of umami and sweetness.
3.75
Dry but fruity
The best of both worlds?
I thought so!
I drank this all the time, perhaps because it was a habit-forming taste.
It's not just first impressions.

Miscellaneous impressions
I've been drinking a lot of sake, but it's been a long time since I've reviewed one.
It has a gorgeous, soft, and smooth mouthfeel!
This is the sake we decided on after tasting it. It is made from 100% locally grown Koshihikari rice with a rice polishing ratio of 90%, which allows you to fully enjoy the flavor and richness of the rice. Of course, the rice is almost unpolished, so there are some subtle tastes, but even these are sublimated into the deliciousness of the sake. I would like to drink it again.
The reason why I felt it tasted better than the previous one is because the rice used for sake is different every year.
This one is mellow and umami, with a good aroma. This one tastes a little sour, but it is also delicious.
The second drink was Hishiko. I thought I had had it before, but Sake-no-wa had no record of it. It is aromatic and has a light flavor. Delicious. This restaurant serves it in a wine glass. It adds to the atmosphere.
The following is a list of 5) that we received at a paid tasting event.
Hishiko A brand that I have been interested in for a long time.
I had never heard of it before 😅. I had never heard of this sake before 😅.
I personally prefer this one 😊.
Niigata Prefecture, Lake Hishiko Autumn
Perhaps because it is an Aki-agari, it is more classic than the other Hishiko wines we have had so far.
The lightness of the rice is typical of Hishiko.
It has a strong flavor, so it is suitable for dishes with strong flavors.
Delicious!
With a cold on my body, mind, and wallet, I'm missing the warmth of human skin and a hot drink.
How are you drinking?
I wish I had a friend or two, or even a girlfriend...but the wintry winds haven't been blowing much lately, and the temperature difference and low pressure have been killing a lot of people✕2.
I've also caught the flu, which is the most common and unnecessary pandemic in Japan.
I can't afford to buy the best of all medicines to lift my spirits... but I force myself to go out and have a drink.
I decided to go to a ramen shop, where I could at least get a treat.
Hishiko... excuse me, Ryoko (Hishiko).
Like some ex-girlfriend...oh, that's Junko.
...too hungry for warmth...lol
Not much aroma, just a malted rice taste that comes to your mouth after drinking.
When it's a bit dry...I see...there's this expression...it smells a bit like soy sauce.
When it is mellowed, it also has a noble aroma like a melon.
It is more like meat than pickles.
I wonder if it would be delicious with pickled prawns or something.
Okay, I'll have him do it! I'll have them do it!
...I wonder if I'll have enough money to pay for it.
