The aroma is subdued. From a light mouthfeel, a firm umami flavor can be gradually tasted. The aftertaste is perfect for pairing with Japanese cuisine.
[After leaving Miejin, I wanted to stop by a local store in Kuwana, so I strolled around the station and downtown area.
[I was lured by the words "Oden🍢" and decided to walk through the curtain of DENKAKU 😁.
Oh, they serve sashimi and have a wide variety of food 😋.
I ordered a hot sake with 5 kinds of oden for the time being 🍶.
Hot sake at SASHIMI, specs unknown.
I liked the Kuwana's local sake "Sashimi" that I had at Miejin earlier, so I ordered it hot ✨.
Slowly seeping into the palate, with a dry finish.
It goes well with oden with aonori (green laver) on top!
I thought it was unusual to have aonori in the salty soy sauce broth, so I asked the owner about it and he told me that it was inspired by Shizuoka oden.
Fukui's soup stock is slightly miso-like and has a sweet taste, so you can feel the local flavor 😋.
A night of drinking in Kuwana (4)
Drinking set at Miejin in Kuwana City
I wanted to drink as much Kuwana sake as possible, so this was my choice.
Sashimi Junmai Ginjo
The cool and calm aroma of rice, the fruity flavor of the first saké, and the clean and crisp taste, the shallow melon-like aroma that passes through the nose, the clean lingering taste, and the slight bitterness at the end.
I like this balance 😁.
I added "Clam Tempura" using the famous clam for my entrée, which is intoxicating on its own and also intoxicating with the clam soup that comes with it 😋.
