At home. I'm a high school baseball freak. At last, today, the final is decided ‼️. Not the selection, but still the summer tournament‼️. For third-year students, it's a compulsory goal that they have to face the next stage if they lose. The two teams that remain until the end the day after tomorrow will experience the longest summer. I had this drink while feeling the glamour & fragility of high school baseball. We chose this sake while having shaved ice at Minami Yamashiro Roadside Station. I want the players to show their full swing on the best stage and look forward to the final game the day after tomorrow.

At home. It is the Bon Festival. I spent it quietly at home. In the afternoon, I went to my favorite liquor store and bought some Sei-san. The manager told me about his visit to the Marusei Sake Brewery, which makes me want to visit sake breweries again. The aroma and the feeling in the nose when you take a sip are both markedly apple-like. The balance of sweetness, umami, and acidity is a masterpiece of Sei-san. I bought a bottle of this sake, so I would like to taste it thoroughly.

The aroma is sweet and gorgeous, the mouthfeel is a bit thick, and the sweet and sour taste makes it easy to drink. The alcohol content is 13%, so it is easy to drink too much. There are several bottles in this series, so I would like to try them if the timing is right.

At home. This is the first Mutsu Hachisen that I got on an expedition to a neighboring prefecture. The aroma is gorgeous and fruity...with a hint of apple, perhaps because it is from Aomori. It has a crisp and dry taste in the mouth, and is very pleasant to drink. It is a famous sake, no doubt about it.

At home. A gem from Ryoseki Shuzo, the same brewer as Hanayuup. It has a gorgeous aroma and a mild and refreshing taste. It becomes easier to drink when chilled, but the sweetness can be felt more strongly if it is not chilled too much.

At a ryokan in Chita Peninsula, Aichi Prefecture. After toasting with beer and refilling several beer mugs, we had our first glass of Michisakari chilled. It had a sweet taste and a robust sake flavor that went perfectly with the sashimi. The taste is one thing, but I also learned how to read it for the first time. The menu had furigana written on it, so I was able to order as if I knew how to read it.
