Purchased at Yamasho in JR Ashiya station. I mentioned before that this liquor store is based in northern Kyoto and has a wide selection of sake from the Tango area, but they also have Kumi no Ura. It is rather sweet. Muscat and lychee-like flavor. It is fire-brewed but fresh. I'd like to try some of their fresh sake. I'm sure it would be delicious. According to the internet, it's unfiltered raw sake. It's true that it's on the lees for a fire-brewed sake. Sediment is noticeable.

I bought this simple labeled sake because I was curious. When warmed up, it has a robust lactic acid aroma, a gentle sweetness, and a full, rich umami. It has a nice lingering aftertaste that seems to soak in. At room temperature, it has a slightly sweet and sour rice aroma with a banana-like flavor. The juicy umami comes as a surprise as it rises from the mild sweetness. I thought it would be good warmed up, but it may be good in various ways.

Tonight, our first series, Kikuyu by Yoshikawa Brewery from Isehara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is 100% Dewa Sanzu, Junmai Nama-no-Hajime made with Kyoukai No. 6 yeast. It has a ginjo aroma between cucumber and pear, and the first sip is clear with a full sweetness, but later on, a strong bitterness and alcohol taste follows, making it dry and smooth.

Tonight, we decided to open a new sake once in a while, so we had this one from the Yoshikawa Sake Brewery in Kanagawa Prefecture. Junmai Nigori Sake - Luxurious Aragoshi ✨✨✨✨. The sake seems to have been bottled after the new sake unrefined sake has been roughly fermented 😄. The aroma has a hint of pear and apple. When you take a sip, you can feel the gasiness and acidity, but it is juicy and delicious 😋😋😋😋 When you mix the lees, you can feel the sweetness of the rice and the creaminess increases, which is also delicious 😋😋. This was definitely one to repeat 🤗

I had never seen this brand before, so I couldn't resist buying it. This is a sake brewery in Shunan City, Yamaguchi. There are about 1,400 sake breweries in Japan, so it's no wonder that there are breweries and brands that I don't know (there are more than 1,000 here). Even if I were to drink one brand every day for the rest of my life, it would take me almost 30 years (^_^;) It's simply impossible. This was an aside. The moment you put it in your mouth, the aroma is distinctive. I wonder what it is, is it the aroma of rice? In total, the aroma is fluffy, the taste is tangy, and the sweetness is warm. I think it's delicious.

This is Kyushu Kiku's Kamisen. I have not had this sake since the spring, when I had a bottle of the honjozo (pure sake) at Nishinakasu. I never thought I would see this sake in Tokyo. After returning home, I wondered what to drink and chose "Karahashi" by Homare Shuzo, which I had never had a chance to drink before! It is a junmai ginjo made from Omachi. The first sip gives the impression of sweetness with no sourness. As you continue drinking, the spiciness comes out and the trinity of sweetness, umami, and spiciness comes together, which is just the right balance and delicious. There are other sake rice varieties in the Karahashi series besides Omachi, so you have to try them 😆.
