The general meeting at the end of last month was held at a local grand hotel, and the sake used was Nanafukujin Junmai from the Kiku no Tsukasa Sake Brewery. The sake used was Nanafukujin Junmai by Kikunoji Sake Brewery. It is not sticky-sweet, but rather light and easy to drink. If the sake is not made with the same level of care and attention as the all-you-can-drink sake, more and more people will leave the sake industry, and short-term tricks will not be effective these days. I attended an event at Tsushima Tsuru last weekend. The event featured a rice farmer in Shizukuishi Town, Iwate Prefecture, who grows rice mainly for sake rice, called "Sunakabe. The first toast was actually a junmai daiginjo made in Hawaii, shown in the fourth photo. What kind of sake is made by providing rice to a brewery in Hawaii? I thought to myself, as I toasted President Kudo of Washio Co! I followed with a sip. Oh my, it has an honest, soft, sweet taste. I wouldn't go to Hawaii to buy it, but I was a bit surprised that it tasted so good in a different environment. Next was the super dry Nanafukujin. It is said to be a bottle that pursues sharpness, and it is indeed light and dry, but you can also taste the delicious flavor of the rice. It was a bit of a surprise to me! 😁

I bought it last year as a souvenir from Utsunomiya. It's been a while since I've had "out of the gate", but my taste buds have changed since the last time I had it, so I'm looking forward to it! When you open the bottle and pour it, it smells like citrus fruits and lychee. It is tasteless on the palate, but gradually the richness and mellowness of the rice comes out. The sweetness, spiciness, and astringency of the flavor are all present as soon as the lid is opened! Although it is a junmai ginjo, it has such a robust flavor that it may be served warm. The overtone is similar to that of "Shinkame" and gives the impression of a matured sake. The lingering aftertaste is well rounded as it quickly fades away. Overall, the shades of gray are exquisite, and the taste is quite interesting! In fact, the first sake I ever drank in my life was "Monkai Fude. I was actually the first person in my life to drink sake, and that drink at Kinugawa Onsen has led me to the present day.

This is my favorite Hakutsuru 🍶. The black bottle with navy blue label is kind of cool 🥰. It is sold only in Aomori. The first aroma is slightly sweet. The palate has a full-bodied sweet flavor that is typical of Hanafukuyuki. It has a beautiful mouthfeel, partly due to the 50% polishing. The sharpness is not bad either. I want to buy a bottle next year and drink it carefully 🤔.
