Despite the old-fashioned label, the impression is clean and modern without any cloying taste. Surprisingly, it is quite tasty. Purchased at Sakai Meizo. Unzan used to be produced and sold under the same brand name at several breweries, including this one and Yoshinoya in the Zenkoji temple gate town. Currently, Sakai Meikozo is no longer making sake, but has a soba noodle shop, cafe, and souvenir shop in a renovated brewery building, and the old brewery is open for tours. The sake sales corner is modest.

Like Minatoya Toisuke, this is another brand of Murasuke that I bought because I liked it after tasting it at Ponshu-kan in Echigo Yuzawa. There are many liquor stores that sell Murasuke in Tokyo, but I had never seen this brand before. As its name suggests, it's low in alcohol content at 13%, so it's easy to drink 😚. When you drink it cold, it's light and refreshing, with no hint of bitterness. It's delicious in its own right, but when it's chilled at a cooler temperature, it becomes sweeter and more impressive. I liked it best when it was chilled in the wine cellar at about 15 degrees Celsius 😄. It's interesting to see how it changes with the temperature, but in any case, it's a different direction from the sweet and sour fruity Murasuke. I think it's a fine sake that won't go with any snacks 😋

Another bottle I bought at Hasegawa-san in Tokyo station. The first time for Otokoyama-san in Yamagata This is also the original label of Hasegawa-san. The rice used is Miyamanishiki, so it's the same as "Junmai-shu Gold Label". Anyway, it was a delicious sake with a lot of fullness. It was my son's birthday earlier this month, so we went to Nagano Prefecture for a visit during this holiday weekend! I think I have been to Nagano Prefecture a hundred times, but this was my first time in Nagano City. I found a great liquor store called "Shinshu Kuraudo" in the very magnificent Nagano station 💡. They have sake from all over Nagano 😘. They also have a corner shop, so if I hadn't come by car, I would have gone in there lol. A cute bear wearing an apple 🍎. The kids picked out a cup of sake with a cute illustration of Alkuma-chan 🍶. The taste was very refreshing! It has a gorgeous ginjo aroma and a crisp aftertaste. It's very easy to drink and has no habits, so if you're traveling by Shinkansen, this is definitely the one you want to drink on the train on the way home. I bought a few other bottles, so I'm looking forward to opening them 😊.

Rice used is something from Kyushu It was sent together with eel as a hometown tax return gift from Isahaya City❗️. It is a clear and dry sake with good sharpness ‼️. The sweetness is just a hint and goes well with eel. I was curious about the sake brewery that has the same name as Okinawa "Reimei", but I see they are related. It is interesting to see how many things are connected in this industry.

I got this on a trip to Nagasaki last year. I will have it while thinking back to the delicious Turkish rice and Sara Udon noodles 🤤. When you open the bottle and pour it, the aroma is sweet and fluffy, like pudding or custard. The aroma is gentle and soothing. The mouthfeel is smooth and silky, but as the aroma suggests, it has a pudding-like flavor and a moist sweetness that fills the mouth 🍮. On the other hand, it also has a slightly tangy and pungent acidity that gives it a lightness, so it has a good balance of depth of flavor and a sharpness that goes down your throat👍. In the latter half of the bottle, the astringent taste also comes out, so the flavor can be felt as caramelized. There are also the standard "Yokoyama Goju" and "Rokujyosu", and I remember that I had a lot of trouble finding a variety at the Nagasaki airport. I also drank Nagasaki sake several times, and it seems to me that the level of sake is as high as that of shochu 😌.
