This is a 12-year aged kijoshu. It is more like a brandy than a sake, and it might be easier to accept it as something else. The taste is smoky, and the sweetness of kijoshu is moderate.
**Sake
I was underage when I was doing commercials.
This is my first time drinking it.
As I imagined, it is classical, bitter and has a hint of white grape type sweetness.
The first day after opening the bottle, it was quite hard, and on the fourth day, the sweetness disappeared.... I think the second day is the best.
There is sediment at the bottom of the bottle. What is this?

Yesterday, after arriving in Hirosaki, I went to the Iwakisan area!
It was stormy weather, so we had to make a quick change from our city tour. However, the mysterious and magnificent Iwakisan shrine and the outstanding quality and pleasantness of the Momosawa Onsen & Utaki Onsen hot springs were captivating. ☺️
And on this day, we stocked up at the local supermarket and drank at the hotel.
We started with "Kanman".
When I opened the bottle, I could smell the sweet aroma of sugarcane. Then I smelled sulfur from my hand (♨️).
It is smooth and light. The cleanness comes from a hint of acidity. It is easy to drink, with a slight hint of sweetness and astringency, but it disappears without a hitch.
It was so delicious that I could understand why I had seen it in almost 90% of the supermarkets and souvenir shops I had visited so far!
Good evening, stst.
I like your trip to Akita and Aomori. The local sake looks delicious. Above all, it must have been really good hot water for you to feel your own sulfur smell after the bath. And I envy you all the good sake in both Akita and Aomori.
Good evening, Maruwa-san!
Akita and Aomori are full of famous hot springs and sake, as you said, and each one of them is of high quality, and I was impressed once again by their high level of quality and deep history👍.
I envy the locals too!
Today we are going north from Akita to Hirosaki!
Departing with an Akita dog in Halloween costume seeing me off 🐶.
I enjoyed the express trip with a can of aged sake, which you don't see very often!
Caramel-like sweet and burnt aroma.
The mouthfeel is round and smooth. The mouth is round and smooth, with a dense flavor that is typical of aged sake.
The sweet astringency with a sense of tortoiseshell rain and caramel, and the punch and sharpness of the spicy acidity that comes later. The taste is well balanced and balanced, with no hint of dullness.
As with the other wines of yesterday, it was a delicious wine with a deep flavor and a sense of transparency at its core👍.
We were able to enjoy our trip to Akita to our heart's content, even though it was short. I am looking forward to opening my Akita sake souvenirs!
