I have always been curious about this dekasei. It is a sake with a dry image, but I chose nigori for my first Izusei~! This is undiluted Calpis! Amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! But I think undiluted Calpis is much sweeter. Very interesting sake! I wanted to drink it on the rocks as well!

I've known about this ice breaker for a while, but had somehow passed on it in Tamagawa. After seeing the many rave reviews on Sakenowa, I finally bought one 🙂. Oh, it's definitely thick and delicious! It's like a whiskey 👍. I'm convinced that it goes well on the rocks🤩. I was reminded that it's not just a summer drink that you can gulp down. I think it's rare to find unfiltered raw ginjo 🤔. Slightly sweet and nutty. It has a strong sweetness and umami. It's a good combination of modern and classic without feeling like it's been alkaloosoaked. If the label is a little more modern, it will sell well. After 10 days, it became bitter and hard to drink.

Junmai Daiginjo that is not like Yamada Nishiki. The sweetness is moderate. It takes some time for the flavors to develop. Personally, I've always had the impression that Yamadanishiki has a sweet aftertaste, but the dryness of the flavor reminded me of the diversity of Japanese sake. And even though it's supposed to be a little out of character for my taste, it was a dish that made me drink more! As the temperature rises, the taste is distinctly sweet at first and then dry (and crisp) at the end. It broke the stereotype that Yamada Nishiki is sweet! The brewery started brewing in 1922. The name of the brand was changed from the famous water "Horime-no-Ido" to "Horinoi".

This is also our first time to visit this brewery. I'm glad to see that they have a lot of unpasteurized sake. I completely forgot about the bad things at work and went into drinking mode. Just like the label on the back, this sake has a lot of flavor, but it's not heavy. Even though it was nigori, it didn't feel sloppy. It was an easy to drink sake.
