Souvenir #2 from Hida Takayama This is another sake that I enjoyed drinking at a tavern near the hotel👍. It has a nice aroma and is easy to drink. It is easy to drink and has a nice aroma. We decided to visit the brewery because it is also close to the hotel 🤣. Naturally, we tried a lot of different sake and tasted a lot of different things. I tried a lot of different sake, but for some reason I ended up with this one that I had at an izakaya 👍. There are many other sakes that I would like to buy, but for some reason I had to stop at two bottles this time 😭. I would like to visit Takayama just to visit sake breweries when I have a chance 👍

Hida Takayama Souvenir #1 This is Shoryunomai from Hirata Sake Brewery! It was one of the sake that I enjoyed drinking at a tavern near the hotel and since the brewery is close by, I decided to visit them. We were very impressed with the quality of the sake 😃. We were able to taste the Jun Dai sake at the brewery. 👍 In the end we decided on the Shoryunomai Jungin, but the Hida no Hana was hard to pass up 😊. The label is also very nice and well designed 👍 The Shoryunomai Jun Dai was good and tasty, but it was quite expensive and I couldn't afford it 💦 I guess it is for foreign tourists!

Gifu 2nd day was Shiromayumi ❗️ This was also purchased at a convenience store and had an amazing selection of sake👍. I opened the bottle, poured it into a cup, and brought it up to my mouth. The taste is refreshing and easy to drink, with a great balance of sourness and sweetness 😁. It's a small bottle so it ran out quickly 🤣.

Hi Robin, good trip to Gifu 😊I also went to Gifu during Obon 🚗Takayama has a sake brewery in the center of the tourist area which makes me excited 😁There are so many local sake from Hida, it's hard to decide which one to buy back 🤣.

For some reason I came to Gifu. At first, I bought a bottle of Hourai nigori that I saw at a convenience store. Well, it's good enough for one person to drink👍. First of all, when I poured it into a cup and put it in my mouth, it had a sweet aroma that was not as sweet as it looked! I took a sip and wondered if it was sweet. ❗️ The gap between the aroma and the spiciness is amazing! But the sweetness lingers afterwards, so it's not too much. This is a good thing 😊.

I had never seen it before and that it is made by the Aburacho Brewery, so I asked for this one to drink as well 🤣. Basically, the green bottle is made the same way, but the blue bottle seems to be made by Bozan Shorekiji The blue bottle is made by Bodhiyama Shoryakuji. We started with the 2022. In a word, it is suitable for aperitifs. Is it rich and old sake-like? Old sake? It is. I had it cold, but it could be served on the rocks with ice. I think it is easy to drink though. 👍 Next, 2023. Very easy to drink compared to the 22 year, maybe the best of the bunch this time. Taste-wise it is almost the same as 2022, but it was mellow and easy to drink. Most refreshing. Lastly, Bodhiyama Shorekiji. It is the most drinkable and fruity, but it is also the darkest and has the best aroma 👍. All of them are delicious but a little bit peculiar. It was a little bit peculiar 👍.

I've been hooked on Sentori since I learned about it at Sake-no-wa, so I ordered it because they had a drink comparison 👍. I am so happy to be able to drink 3 different kinds of SENKYO in one day 🤣. First, Organic Naturale! It is very fruity and sweet with a hint of sourness, so even weak drinkers can enjoy it. Organic is also very popular among women and seems to be good for your health👍. Kame-no-o This is also fruity, but more sake-like than Naturale. It has a good balance of sweetness and sourness. It was easy to drink. This is also delicious: ❗️ Naturale This is the best one in my opinion👍 This one is also easy to drink because it's fruity, not too thick and refreshing with a nice sweetness and acidity. All of the sakes have a nice aroma, so when the glass was brought to my mouth, it went in my mouth smoothly without any rejection at all🤣.

It's been so hot every day that I haven't felt like going out even though I'm on vacation 💦. I knew I couldn't go on like this, so on the way back from visiting a nearby waterfall, I bought some 😁. This time I bought a black cow 😁. 👍 Kurogyu is in Wakayama, but they source their rice from this area or it was at a roadside station. So, another lunchtime drink 🤣. Maybe it's a habit 💦. I like to drink Kurogyu in the winter time with hot sake, but I don't want to drink heated sake on a hot day. I haven't had Kurogyu cold sake in a while and it's delicious ❗️ It's rich, but because it's cold, it's refreshing. It has a sake-like character, but not too spicy. I always only drink junmai sake so I would like to try more than ginjo😃.

It was a hot day, so we decided to buy some sake at the nearest roadside station and have a lunchtime drink 😁. We bought sake, lunch and a few snacks and went home ❗️ We started drinking right away. This time I bought some Senzuke, which I haven't had in a while, and I was thankful that the Senzuke wholesaled at the roadside station was fresh👍. It's my favorite orikara, so I have high expectations for it! It is my favorite orikara, so I had high expectations! As expected, the gasiness and flavor balance is great. It feels tangy and spicy at first, but the sweetness that comes later creates an endless loop 🤣. Too bad it's a 4-goupe bottle and it ran out so quickly 😭. I want to buy a bottle but I can't chill it! I need to buy a fridge first 😁.

We were served Hanamup. It was a very tasty sake, which I heard was trained at Jyushiyo's place. The direction of the two sakes are somewhat similar, but they are different. Hanamup has a strong flavor and a good sake-like taste. I heard that it is very hard to get these days, so I don't think I will be drinking it at home for a while 😭.

DATE SEVEN SEASON2 episode3 (2) watch out for Suminoe style Hikoboshi Bottle Next up, Hikoboshi Bottle! This is the first time for me to drink Suminoe, so I'm looking forward to it 😊. This one also has a nice aroma👍 I thought it had a good balance of sweetness and sourness, and was very light. Compared to Orihime, this one is more refreshing and easy to drink 😁. This time, we compared the two and drank them alternately, and I thought they complemented each other nicely. I was lucky to find a good sake today too👍.

DATE SEVEN SEASON2 episode3 Katsuyama Style Orihime Bottle I was told that I could compare seven bottles when I go to the usual place, so I ordered one 😆. Katsuyama was probably my first time and I was the first, so I was lucky to have a freshly opened bottle 👍. The sweet aroma gave me high expectations! The fruity taste was nice and spread out when I drank it, and compared to Hikoboshi, this one seemed richer! Next up👍

This is the last sake I acquired on my trip to Yamaguchi. For some reason, perhaps because the label does not look like sake, my family did not choose it and it became the last one. The pink label is the first time I've had it, and it seems to be a spring-only label, so it was just barely spring-like when I bought it, but it's already summer! I heard it was sweet, so I opened the bottle thinking it might not be for summer. ❗️ What a gorgeous, easy-drinking sake👍! The acidity comes in to take away the sweetness and the clamminess, so you can drink it in gulps 🤣. It's normally 16 degrees, but I drank it all without hesitation 😁. Now that all the Yamaguchi Prefecture sake is gone, I'm pondering where to go next👍!

I have had Eiko Fuji before, but this star version is my first time! I thought it might be a refreshing summer sake, but it is a gorgeous sake 😁. The taste is well-balanced and pleasant on the palate 👍This is the first time I've had Eiko Fuji. Now I know that Eiko Fuji is my favorite 🤣.

The second glass, I was told that there was a bottle of Tedorigawa, which I had had before, but when I looked closer, I saw that it was a light nigori (nigori) before the bottle was opened👍. I looked at it carefully and saw that it was a light nigori (a very light nigori) and that it had not yet been opened 👍. I thought it might be bad, but it was safe 😁. I poured it and looked at the glass. It had countless air bubbles on it and was a delicious sake full of a sense of sizzle. It was too easy to drink with a good balance of sourness and sweetness. Super like it 😊.

I had never seen this sake before at my usual restaurant, so I ordered it 😁. The name "Fuji Masamune" sounds like something you would expect to find, but I'm pretty sure it's my first time 👍. I thought it would be the same as usual since it is made from "Gohyakumangoku" (five hundred million stone), but it had a different image, a little sweetness and good mouthfeel.

We have only a few Yamaguchi spoils left. My son's choice this time was Omine's three grains. The taste is delicious and gassy, not to mention the sweetness is followed by a sourness that is so refreshing you could drink it as much as you want 😁. It is more like a sake than the previous one I had, and I prefer this one!

Among the spoils of this trip to Yamaguchi, this is the most anticipated: sparkling Ganki! Ganki is one of my favorite brands of sake in Yamaguchi: ❤️ This was the first time I got to visit the brewery! As soon as I entered, I saw this sparkling sake! There were many others, but I narrowed it down to this one and bought it for later. I thought this sake would be the last, but I couldn't resist and opened it today: ❗️ I was told many times to be careful when opening the bottle, so I opened it with trepidation. Screw caps are amazing 😁. I twisted it a little to hold it in and was able to open the bottle without it blowing out 👍. It took 10 minutes to slowly release the gas 💦. The taste is more gassy than I expected, almost like drinking champagne or a carbonated drink! The good aroma of koji and the sweetness in the mouth makes it a perfect match for a 4-ounce bottle. I think the clean aftertaste is because it has a good amount of spiciness and bitterness 😊. I wonder if this is sold around here? I think it's good that I bought two bottles of this product. I'm currently thinking about getting a bigger cooler box 🤣.

This is Part 3 of the sake I bought on my trip to Yamaguchi 😁. I looked online and it looked like the brewery was closed, but I decided to pay a visit anyway. Sure enough, it was closed, but I was happy to see the beautiful brewery. ❗️ The sign on the door introduced a nearby roadside station where they sold on behalf of the customer, so I decided to go there and buy some 👍. My cooler box is limited to 6 bottles, so I bought this one bottle here. I really want to buy at least 2 bottles from each brewery, but I have no choice 😭. So, I decided to have a bottle of your precious sake! When I opened the bottle and put my finger between the stopper and the seal, it came off with a pop and I thought it was bad, but it didn't blow out and I was safe 👍. It was gaseous and the tingling was irresistible! The first sip is a concentrated taste, and after the first taste of sake, the sweetness and sourness come in turn, and from the second sip, each flavor blends with the other, making it fruity and easy to drink. 🤣 I went to Yamaguchi, so the taste doubled and it was gone in an instant. ‼️
