We visited the new sake festival of Santan Masamune 😁. There were a lot of people who are fans of Yamatan Masamune and it was pretty exciting👍. Since it was my first time to try their sake, I decided to try all kinds of sake at a paid tasting. Here is a summary of my impressions. Freshly squeezed new sake Needless to say, it is fresh and has a strong acidity. Honjozo Shimanami (1) Honjozo Shimanami has a dry taste with an aroma that is a bit like Honjozo poi or a barrel sake. (2) Super dry, dry and light. It is light and dry, and quite refreshing. It is easy to drink and has little habit. (3) SHIZUKUHIME Junmai Ginjo Not much aroma. It is a junmai with a strong alcohol taste, but the alcohol feeling spreads to the palate and the taste is firm. 4) Ginjo-shu Fruity aroma, the opposite of the aroma is the spiciness that stands out. 5) Junmai Daiginjo Matsuyama Mitsui The ginjo aroma spreads widely. Overall, the taste was refreshing and well-balanced with sweetness. It seemed to be the most popular. (6) Daiginjo-shu It has a ginjo aroma, but it was a little restrained, and the overall impression was very similar to that of ⑤. ⑦Shizukudori Junmai Daiginjo-shu Surprisingly, the aroma is not so strong, (the aroma itself!) The sweetness is strong and the overall taste is dark. (8) Natural old sake Old sake but easy to drink, coffee-like aroma, suitable for aperitifs, but drinkable normally

I've been lucky to come across a lot of firsts lately 😁Tanigawadake was my first and I was able to paint over Gunma Prefecture too👍. I didn't expect it to be as astringent as the label, but it was super spicy as I expected it to be 🤣. I've been drinking a lot of dry sake lately, but I'd rather have something a little sweeter 💦. I was prepared for it, but it was easy to drink because it was well chilled and light and dry. I drank it with a sake bottle and it was just right. It was just right 😁.

I haven't encountered Fukui sake since I started drinking sakewa, but I finally found it. I finally found it 😁. The cool label made me think it might be dry, but it's really spicy 🤣. But it's refreshing so I can drink it at all, but if you look closely, you can see the word 😳 on the ice. It's 18 degrees, so it must be spicy 👍. I recommend drinking it on the rocks, but as it's getting colder, I'd like to warm it up 🤣.

I got a bottle of Denshogiku from Kangiku Meikozo. It was light and cloudy, which I like 😍It seemed to have a lot of gas when I opened the bottle, but there was only a little left and it wasn't that much 😭. The label is beautiful and it doesn't look like sake, but it tastes like sake, and the acidity isn't too strong either 👍 But it's been a while since the bottle was opened, so I'm interested to see how it tastes when it's freshly opened 😁. Maybe the taste has changed? Next time I want to drink it freshly opened 🤣.

We received a bottle of Takaragawa from the Kyokui (Kanei) Tanaka Sake Brewery! It seems to be the only sake brewery in Otaru. There are 3 kinds of sake so I'll try them in order 😁. Junmai It was dry but easy to drink. If you drink it at room temperature, you can taste the flavor. It becomes even easier to drink when cooled. It is also good as a heated sake. Junmai Ginjo Well balanced in taste and aroma, with a sweetness that makes it easy to drink. Junmai Daiginjo I brought this sake for the first time at the off-line meeting: ❗️ It is a clear, cloudy sake with a refreshing taste. This was the first time I checked in for sake from Hokkaido myself, so it was a double commemorative sake 😁.

I got Shiro-mayumi 😁. I ordered it because I was caught by the name, which has no deep meaning. I assumed from the label that it was Junmai, but it was Aru Soze 😁. But I think it's a good product, easy to drink and refreshing. It's not too bad, so even if you don't heat it up, it's still delicious👍.

Niigata is a sake brewery in Nagaoka! I used to go to Nagaoka for some reason, but somehow I missed it 😭 It tasted a little sweet and was a good time 👍. Oh, I would have definitely gone to the brewery if I had known 😭.

I received a bottle of Yuki no Bijin 🤣. I found it a little sweet, but it was refreshing and easy to drink. I wonder if Aiyama is the winner? I'm not familiar with Akita Sake Komachi so I don't know🤣.

This is my first time drinking Nagurayama. I'm not familiar with it, so I was a little wary when I tried it 😳. One sip and my guard is up, this is one I can go full throttle on 👍fruity and delicious! The label is stylish and just as I imagined 😃.

First time in a long time to drink Jyushiro outside of Honmaru First time drinking a Dragon's Bastard 😁. Needless to say, it is delicious, but compared to the Honmaru, I felt it was thicker overall. However, I like the fact that it is a refreshing drink👍. I'm glad I was able to drink it even though it was my last one 😃.

This is my first time to drink sake from Nagasaki! Nagasaki Bijin is an easy name to recognize the place of origin👍. It's a daiginjo, so it's alsobe, but it's a delicious sake that's refreshing and easy to drink. I think they are doing a great job😃.

The third drink of the day was a Saku 😊. This was a little strange experience, but I turned over the menu photo and drew Saku 😳I thought I would not order Saku since I often get Saku in many occasions, so I repeated the photo like playing cards and drew again and got Saku again, I thought no thanks, so I ordered the second glass of nigori directly 🤣. After that, I drew again and again, but the "Saku" was the target at a very high rate. ❗️ I was defeated and decided to have the last one 😓. Actually, it was my first time to have Saku hiyaoroshi, so I thought it was okay and drank it. Delicious👍Basically the same taste. It was my favorite of the day because it had a strong flavor but it went down easy 🤣. By the way, when I checked in this time, I uploaded a picture of Tenmei and when I checked it, for some reason, it had a picture of the crop attached to it, so I was a bit nervous 💦.

My second drink of the day was a nigori sake from Kashiwa Dew 😁. I was looking at the menu (photo) to see what to have next, and I saw that they had nigori sake! As a nigori lover, I didn't hesitate to order it 👍. It reminded me of doburoku from my recent trip to Hida Takayama! I wish I could go to the Dobrok Festival 🤣.

We were informed by the store that they had stocked a large amount of sake for a long time, so we decided to visit them! We turned over the photos of the large quantity of sake and the first sake we saw was Tenmei 🤣. It was the first Aki-agari of the season, and I was even more excited to see that it was a pure sake. As expected, the aroma was good and the taste was well balanced and easy to drink. 👍

Souvenir #2 from Hida Takayama This is another sake that I enjoyed drinking at a tavern near the hotel👍. It has a nice aroma and is easy to drink. It is easy to drink and has a nice aroma. We decided to visit the brewery because it is also close to the hotel 🤣. Naturally, we tried a lot of different sake and tasted a lot of different things. I tried a lot of different sake, but for some reason I ended up with this one that I had at an izakaya 👍. There are many other sakes that I would like to buy, but for some reason I had to stop at two bottles this time 😭. I would like to visit Takayama just to visit sake breweries when I have a chance 👍

Hida Takayama Souvenir #1 This is Shoryunomai from Hirata Sake Brewery! It was one of the sake that I enjoyed drinking at a tavern near the hotel and since the brewery is close by, I decided to visit them. We were very impressed with the quality of the sake 😃. We were able to taste the Jun Dai sake at the brewery. 👍 In the end we decided on the Shoryunomai Jungin, but the Hida no Hana was hard to pass up 😊. The label is also very nice and well designed 👍 The Shoryunomai Jun Dai was good and tasty, but it was quite expensive and I couldn't afford it 💦 I guess it is for foreign tourists!

Gifu 2nd day was Shiromayumi ❗️ This was also purchased at a convenience store and had an amazing selection of sake👍. I opened the bottle, poured it into a cup, and brought it up to my mouth. The taste is refreshing and easy to drink, with a great balance of sourness and sweetness 😁. It's a small bottle so it ran out quickly 🤣.

For some reason I came to Gifu. At first, I bought a bottle of Hourai nigori that I saw at a convenience store. Well, it's good enough for one person to drink👍. First of all, when I poured it into a cup and put it in my mouth, it had a sweet aroma that was not as sweet as it looked! I took a sip and wondered if it was sweet. ❗️ The gap between the aroma and the spiciness is amazing! But the sweetness lingers afterwards, so it's not too much. This is a good thing 😊.

I had never seen it before and that it is made by the Aburacho Brewery, so I asked for this one to drink as well 🤣. Basically, the green bottle is made the same way, but the blue bottle seems to be made by Bozan Shorekiji The blue bottle is made by Bodhiyama Shoryakuji. We started with the 2022. In a word, it is suitable for aperitifs. Is it rich and old sake-like? Old sake? It is. I had it cold, but it could be served on the rocks with ice. I think it is easy to drink though. 👍 Next, 2023. Very easy to drink compared to the 22 year, maybe the best of the bunch this time. Taste-wise it is almost the same as 2022, but it was mellow and easy to drink. Most refreshing. Lastly, Bodhiyama Shorekiji. It is the most drinkable and fruity, but it is also the darkest and has the best aroma 👍. All of them are delicious but a little bit peculiar. It was a little bit peculiar 👍.
