With all the excitement of spring sake, starch picks still going on lol. Last 2 brands left. Fruity aroma like tropical fruits. Already delicious from the smell. The balance of sweetness and bitterness is as expected. The bitterness escapes from the nose through the schwarziness and finishes with a sweet and sour fruity aftertaste. The price has been raised, but the perfection is acceptable. It's a brand that you can't go wrong with.

Our daughter Mr. 3 years old is very satisfied with the Dolls' Festival cake. So what are the parents going to do? The reason for drinking it is anything. It is also known as "Momoten. There are no distributors of Tenbi in Hokkaido (or maybe I just don't know about them?), and I missed out on buying Yukiten. This season, I missed out on buying Yukiten. I got it while I was in Tokyo on business. As soon as I opened the bottle, I was hit with a peachy fruity aroma. As is typical with pink labels, the bias is probably very strong, but it's not that bad. The mouthfeel. Surprisingly, the bitter taste precedes it. Then a slight sweetness and moderate acidity follow, with a soft, lingering aftertaste that fades away softly at the end. If you think this is a peach juice sake for beginners, you are wrong. It has a wide range of uses! A cross between bitter and mildly fruity. The moderate schwarziness is also a nice accent. It looks like it will be one of the top drinks at the Nigolympics (still in progress lol). Thanks for the treat!

Moist and sweet like white grapes. So-called "modern" type. Maybe. There is no bubbling of fresh sake, but the freshness is good, and the balance of freshness and soft sweetness is pleasant! It is easy to drink, with little resistance to alcohol, so it is empty overnight, and we have not yet confirmed whether the taste has changed or not. I think this is a genre that tastes best when freshly opened, so I guess it's okay... The price is reasonable and easy to find. It seems to be brewed by a young brewer, so it is a brand that is likely to grow in the future. Thank you!

I have the impression that Mutsu Hachisen is being carried in more and more stores in Hokkaido, to my delight. It is quite possible that there is an Aomori bias in this sake, but it has a nice fruity apple flavor and a crisp, clean taste. It also has a crisp dryness, making it a versatile sake that can be paired with meals. Some have commented that this sake has a good handling of ale, and it is indeed a sake with just the right amount of sweetness.

For training. 150ml is still not enough. I wanted to chill it to a crisp, but the refrigerator at the training center was too small, so the temperature was half-way. Even so, I think it was an enjoyable and easy to drink sake, with an elegant sweetness like that of wasanbon, combined with a square taste of sake.

I can only thank Sake-no-wa for making me, a novice who could not even tell the difference between Koei-Kiku and Eiko-Fuji, such a sake lover. So here is the ninth runner-up for the starch pick. This is Yamada Sunokure. Finally, I was able to drink. The bottle was opened with the best sound in recent times (though it didn't fly). The aroma of citrus fruits greets you. The supernatant is sweet and sour carbonated pear juice. When mixed with the lees, it is carbonated greeful pear lactobacillus mix juice. LOL! But these tastes are supposed to be complex, yet they are properly and nicely combined. Maybe the acidity and gassiness create a balance. Anyway, it's so good! The pairing with the rich liver pate was quite good. The next day, when I left about 1 cup of the wine, the gassiness was gone and the sweetness became more noticeable. It was also quite good. Personally, I think it's best when freshly opened! Thank you very much for the meal.

Here is the eighth runner-up in the Nigori-lympics. It is said that he is slowly gaining support in the shadow of Hirotogawa Yukidaruma Amami. The bottle is opened gently. The aroma is a bit of sake, but a freshness comes through the nose. Start with the supernatant. Hmm? It is sweet and sour and easy to drink. The sake flavor is not as strong as expected. Mix in the lees. Hmmm? Surprisingly sweet and delicious! I had a preconceived notion that it was like a silky dry, but it is an adult calpis sour with a hint of sweetness. This is easy to drink! It may be better than Hirotogawa when it comes to drinkability (just my opinion). I had asked for meat and potatoes, based on the rule of thumb that Silky Dry goes well with potatoes and pumpkins, but it's totally fine solo. And above all, it's very cost-effective! In this day and age, you can buy it for less than 1,500 yen. Thank you, Sasasamune. The taste is more than good enough to compete with the Four Heavenly Kings of nigori. This will be popular next year... Rumor has it that it also goes well with heated sake. It will be cold again tonight, so I'll give it a try!

The leavenpic muddy rinpic is in full swing. Here's the 7th runner up. From the reviews and YouTube, she's running with pretty high expectations! Refreshing aroma like lemon soda. Start with the supernatant. Shuwa and refreshing, with the sweetness and juiciness of Yamadanishiki amidst the acidity and bitterness. It is good on its own. Mix the lees and try again. Oh, milky! The sweet flavor opens up at once. The fruity flavor is a bit citrusy, but it is very well balanced without being assertive. It is delicious. Well balanced and unctuous anyway! I had to put it down to low ales and I emptied it in one night. The liquor store review said it was medium-bodied, but I personally think it's a little sweet. It's not at all stale, though. I think it is the best so far this winter. Mimuro Sugi will be my favorite brand this year.

Salmon! Bring me sake! SAKASAI. ...I read it as shisui. LOL! That was a review. The aroma is elegant and mild ginjo aroma. The mouthfeel is fresh and fruity, like a Japanese pear. The basic taste is easy to drink, but the lingering bitterness lingers for an unexpectedly long time. This is not a negative taste, but a very good one that gives the impression of a good drinking experience. It is said to be a hidden popular sake. I can see why. It is a freshly squeezed sake, fresh but with a slight gassy sensation. After a few days, it became rounder. It was delicious.

Cold weather and rising energy costs are making my room and wallet cold... At least I'm trying to keep my spirits up. This is an orange label from the "Orange Label". Just looking at it makes me feel like I'm in the tropics. It's a cheerful color. Open the bottle gently. The viscosity is smoother than that of the purple label. The fruity aroma is intriguing. The mouthfeel is bright, as expected. The fruity flavor is not too flashy, but the gasiness helps to make it quite bright. It has a nice sharpness and is not too heavy, so you can't stop drinking it. Nabeshima is delicious! The orange label is a bit of an orange, but the taste is white grape, which is a Nabeshima characteristic. It was stored in a warehouse and was cold from the snow, but as the temperature rose a little, the deliciousness started to come through. Pairing with the Fukuragi sashimi was also a success. It warmed me up! (I just got drunk)

The apple-like fruitiness and moderate sharpness are in perfect balance. It has the piquancy of arabashiri, but it is further combined with aluzome to make it even easier to drink. I could recommend this bottle to both beginners and sake lovers. Aomori really has a high level of excellence!

A reminder of the New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. One of the most memorable brands I drank for the first time in 2022 was Yamori. I got a bottle of Orikagarami, so I entered it in the starchy picks and made it my New Year's Eve drink. When the bottle was opened, there was a slight fruity aroma. The amount of lees is normal. My first impression upon drinking it was lychee! Although it is 70%, the finish is clean and refreshing, like a ginjo sake. This light-bodied feeling is what I like about Yamoru. There is almost no resistance to the alcohol, and the lychee is swallowed up smoothly and easily. I was told that you can also enjoy the change in flavor, so I let it sit for two days before drinking. The sweetness was still there but sharper, and it went quite well with New Year's dishes such as sashimi and meat. It was hard to say whether it was better or worse than freshly opened, and both were delicious. Yamamori, please protect our home for another year (don't make wishes on sake, lol).

As a reminder of New Year's Day. I will start on New Year's Day with the zodiac labels that I couldn't get last year. The aroma of ginjo makes you drool. The fresh sweetness and fresh flavor come right away. It is quite showy for a sake under 3,000 yen! (In a good way). The balance and beautiful aftertaste are promised, and the sharpness and lack of dullness will quickly dominate your New Year's feast. Ah, I should have bought a couple of bottles... The deliciousness jumped around like rabbits. The start of an auspicious year. With rice wine.

New Year's Eve. The year 2022 was quite a turbulent year in my history. I am thankful that I was able to end the year without incident. I'll close with this one, which moved me quite a bit last year. It has a fruity aroma like apples, and the gasiness is weak. The rotation from the aroma to the sharp end makes it hard to stop drinking (even more so because it is the end of the year and there is no stopper). (It's the end of the year, so there is no stopper.) As the temperature rises, I feel the freshness of the sake becomes a little difficult to drink. But overall, the finish is good, and Tasake is a sure thing. I will drink a lot of Tasake in 2023! (I immediately opened a bottle of the zodiac label on New Year's Day...)

This year has been the largest inventory since I got into sake, and my self-control finally started to kick in when the cooler boxes in the warehouse were over capacity lol. I went to buy some orikarami, but they were sold out, so I bought this instead. As a result, I hit the jackpot. It's a very vinegary iso type. It has a full-bodied ginjo aroma and flavor with a hint of banana and melon. It has a nice viscosity and clarity when poured into a glass. It has a great drinkability, but the lingering taste is short and has little bitterness, so it suddenly disappears, which is the feeling of drinking it for the first time. It can be drunk either during or after a meal. If you let it sit for 3 days before drinking, the sweetness becomes gentler and it has the atmosphere of an autumn sake. The freshness of nama-shu didn't leave much of an impression, but the total perfection of the sake is quite high. It was delicious.

Here is the 5th runner up of the Nigolympics. The reason for the selection is due to the influence of the Sakerabo channel (after all...) The bottle was opened gently. The aroma is also mild. Slightly cemedine. Start with the supernatant. The acidity stands out. This was more pronounced than Sengoku Yukidaruma. When the lees are mixed, it becomes a very milky and balanced sake at once. The modest sweetness is elegant and runs through relatively light and disappears quickly. I couldn't help but exclaim, "Oh! I exclaimed. The lightness and sharpness of this sake make it so easy to forget the initial cemedine aroma. It was the best buddy with simmered pumpkin! Personally, I liked it better than Hirotogawa Nigori because it was easier to drink. Nigolympics Progress 1Snowman 2Snow Cloud 3Ezo-no-Honor Black Rice 4Hirotogawa 5Akatake snow XMAS

The 4th Nigolympics. We finally welcomed the snowman into our home, which we have missed buying in previous years. It is a companion for the end of the year. The bottle is opened gently. The aroma is modest. From the supernatant. Sourness and bitterness typical of Senkyoku. When mixed with the lees, it is much sweeter than expected! Silky and smooth, it becomes easy to drink all at once with a sense of schwarziness. Ah, so this is the one that has been making the pieseners roar every year. We've landed on it. They are increasing the number of shipments every year, and I think the same liquor store re-released it about three times. I was able to take advantage of that and bought a second bottle as well. LOL! It was an accompaniment to Genghis Khan, and I think it went well with it. It was delicious!

Leavening Npik Muddy Npik No. 3. This is for Christmas Eve. It is lightly cloudy and the lees are just a little bit floating. The bottle opened smoothly. Merry Christmas! (Christmas Eve!) The gasiness is weaker than expected, and it is a sweet and easy-going low-alcohol sake. The SNOW we drank last year was the extra, but this one is a little more mature. It is a Christmas drink, after all, and it went well with cake. My personal impression is that the lack of alcohol resistance, the aroma, and the lactic acid drink-like sweetness were similar to Shinsei No. 6. And the bottle was empty in no time. The weather is bad, but I wish you all a happy Christmas!

I jumped in on this brand in a hurry to join the leesmpic muddympic! Basically, it seems to be distributed only in Hokkaido. (Now, with the improvement of refrigerated transportation technology, it may be available outside of Hokkaido.) This is the first local sake I've ever had myself. It's a black rice blend and looks like acai yogurt, which I resisted at first lol. It is an active nigori, so it is pouty and alive with energy even after being poured into a glass. The aroma is energetic, alcoholic and refreshing. The texture is as smooth as it looks, like doburoku. It starts with a sourness that passes through the nose, followed by a rice-like aroma and a gentle sweetness that spreads. The taste turns slightly bitter and then dries out. It seems full-bodied, but the mouthfeel is soft and crisp. This betrays it in a good way. It is easy to drink because of its sweetness, though not at the front. After letting it sit for three days, the vigor settles down a bit, the sweetness increases, and the sharpness slows down. And it's great heated! This time, I set the temperature at 45 degrees. The sweetness and richness come out and it is easy to drink and goes well with food. There are no four-pack bottles, but 1,000 ml bottles can be purchased for a little over 1,000 yen. A 1,000 ml bottle costs less than 2,000 yen. I will send it to my friends outside of Hokkaido.

The soccer World Cup was so much fun. My family decided to hold a leavening and muddying picks this winter as well. The first one is this! We had missed buying it every year, so we rushed to buy it as soon as it arrived. It has been well received at Sake-no-wa, so we had high expectations for it. Silky Dry...I was convinced after drinking it. I imagined it would be a little sweet and tasty, but it has a mature taste. It was quite good with fried food. When I drank it 3 days later, the gas weakened and the taste changed to a slightly milder atmosphere, and I personally liked this one better. The runners up after the next round of the leesmpic muddympic are Snowman Sasasamune Tokusajun Nigori Mimuro Sugi Jungin Ooragarami Izumo Fuji Yukigumo YAMORI Junmai Oorigarami Akabu snow Xmas Koeikiku Snoclet Jikin Toku Jun Nigori I bought too much this year...
