Various summer liquors are now available. This time it was Fengkoku's summer sake. It was sunny this afternoon and the weather recovered, so I opened a bottle that had been well chilled in the refrigerator. It is a light nigori (light cloudy) sake. The label is white and empty on the surface, but when you shine a light on it from behind, a starry sky appears on the label. When the lees are mixed in, it looks foggy, and when the lees settle, it looks like a star-filled sky (Milky Way). At first it is too cold to smell much. The mouthfeel is light, and although it feels spicy on the throat, it has a light sweetness, followed by a grefle-like bitterness and a leesiness that is also combined with the flavor. The bitterness is pleasant and crisp, making it a delicious summer sake. Although it is a Fukushima sake, it is not too amateurish and can be drunk without hesitation.

Today is my day off, so I took a walk around Sunpu Castle, Kunouzan Toshogu Shrine, and Nihon Taira! I've always wanted to visit Kunouzan and Nihondaira, but the view of the Pacific Ocean and Mt. Fuji from Nihondaira is fantastic👍. On the way home, I took a sip. When I opened the bottle, it had a melon-like aroma. The mouthfeel is refreshing, but the melon-like sweet and astringent taste comes through in a jiffy, giving it a gorgeous flavor. However, the assertion itself gradually settles down and changes to a spiciness, so it is not too heavy for a nama-zake and is easy to drink! Tomorrow is the second half of Shizuoka life. Ikebukuro with friends on Wednesday. It was not an all-you-can-drink party. Sake was my friend's choice as we sunk into the sake swamp. It was my first Hakuba Nishiki. Nice choice. It tasted like it would be ranked high in the Nigorin picks. It was fresh, fruity, sweet and refreshing. The upper half of the label is European and the lower half is Japanese, which gives it a Showa-era feel.

Sake opened at cherry blossom viewing. The aroma of melon is gorgeous. But it is not sweet and has a nice sharpness. My favorite type. I bought it when I visited Hakuba the other day. It seems to be a collaboration between a ski resort and a sake brewery. It is made from rice called Yamae-Nishiki, planted at the new moon and harvested at the full moon! Nagano sake is getting better and better, and I'm glad!

I bought this sake to try a sake from Shinshu, a region I was not familiar with. After purchasing it, I checked the label on the back to see what the specs were. ⁉️...no label. It looks like it was removed 😅. Takizawa is a mysterious sake. It had a clear sweetness with a strong rice flavor and a nice aroma 😆.

😄 Uhihihihi. The picture in the middle is Takizawa. I found this sake at a liquor store but thought "maybe another time" so I'm drinking it. I don't know what "Nakaguchi" means, but to me it feels sweet and, well, it's also delicious. Nagano sake is really good, I thought.

At home. I bought this as a souvenir when I enjoyed lunchtime drinking at Changlong Brewpark and had it at home. I guess it is a slightly different version of the one I had at lunch. The aroma may be influenced by the name of bamboo ⁉️.... Unlike the lunchtime drink, it was fresh, sweet, sour, and refreshing. The fact that I was able to bring back a good one as a souvenir made my day more enjoyable and memorable... ‼️ The fourth picture is of Kaguya-chan, the mascot of Hiroryo Town.

I don't know if this is a good analogy, but I drink it as a very light shochu. It's meant to be a sipping drink, but it goes into your body quickly! The second day starts with a cold sake. On the back of the label, it says it's a little dry. Perhaps because it is an unpasteurized sake, it doesn't have a strong alcoholic flavor, but it does have a bitter aftertaste and a tongue-tickling sensation.
