JIRO
Purchased at MaxValu near Morioka Station. When I buy at MaxValu, I can ship from the counter inside the store, so if there is a MaxValu at my destination, I will definitely stop by.
The station building at Morioka Station sold a slightly better grade of Washio sake, but I dared to go with the regular sake, as I didn't think regular sake was available outside of the prefecture very often.
I had it at hiya. It is rich but light, clean and easy to drink as is typical of sake from the south. The sweetness and umami of the rice can be felt, but a slight bitterness keeps it all together. It has no peculiarities that would go well with any snacks.
I would like to try other types of sake as well.
