Matsue Izumo Trip 1
We had lunch at Yakumoan in Shiomi Nawate, which was crowded with people due to the "Bakebake" effect. I was going to drink sake, but since we were starting from Sandesi, I thought about the night and stuck with beer 😆.
We headed to the parking lot to go to Matsue Castle, but the lot was full and there was quite a line 😅 We had no choice but to park our car at the hotel and walk to the castle, stopping at the Yoneda Sake Brewery on the way and having a tasting 😋.
The middle one was "Junmai Hatsudai Dry Kingoro" labeled by the first brewer, the right one was "Junmai Super Dry Hiyoroshi", and the left one was made by one of their regular customers who buys this sake 😁.
All the sakes were dry and delicious, but the left one seemed to be the best match 😋.

I was only able to drink on the first day because I was driving, but there were some good izakayas where you can drink in small cups, and I drank about 15 kinds of sake 😆 My latest pleasure on the road is drinking sake 🍶 cherry blossoms🌸 at the castle. ☺️

Toyo no Aki - Shimane Sake for the First Time

As the weather cooled down, I wanted to try heating sake, so I had a cup of sake. I chose "Toyo no Aki" Tokubetsu Junmai. It is recommended to be served lukewarm, so we had it with firefly squid and maki rolls. It's a legitimate dry sake and matched well with the food. I've never been a fan of sake in a cup for a long time, but it's nice to have a cup that suits the occasion.
While it was super dry with a sake degree of +15 degrees, it was also delicious with the umami of hiyayagoshi.
It was delicious with hiyaoroshi flavor.
Next time I want to drink it as the first drink😅.
The label has a design of Koizumi Setsu and Shimaneko, who are the models for the NHK drama series "Bakebake" that is currently airing.
The sake is said to be a combination of sake rice from Shimane Prefecture, which is associated with Koizumi Yakumo and Setsu, and yeast from Kumamoto Prefecture🍶.
I saw it last month when I went to Matsue to get some groceries and brought it home 🚗.

The top aroma is not strong, but the hint of lychee-like elegant aroma expands, and the rice flavor is centered on the umami of the rice, with a moderate acidity, bitterness, and a moderate spiciness.
It is more beautiful and refreshing than the Kamisen we had the other day because it is more refined 😊.
On the second day, the curd was removed and the sweetness and mellowness came out.
