Ikebukuro with friends on Wednesday. It was not an all-you-can-drink party. Sake was my friend's choice as we sunk into the sake swamp. It was my first Hakuba Nishiki. Nice choice. It tasted like it would be ranked high in the Nigorin picks. It was fresh, fruity, sweet and refreshing. The upper half of the label is European and the lower half is Japanese, which gives it a Showa-era feel.

Have you heard of YATSUDOKI? It seems to be a high-end version of Chateraise, but I happened to stop by and found some fresh sake! I got it anyway! It's relatively light, and you can drink it nice and smooth!

At home. I bought this as a souvenir when I enjoyed lunchtime drinking at Changlong Brewpark and had it at home. I guess it is a slightly different version of the one I had at lunch. The aroma may be influenced by the name of bamboo ⁉️.... Unlike the lunchtime drink, it was fresh, sweet, sour, and refreshing. The fact that I was able to bring back a good one as a souvenir made my day more enjoyable and memorable... ‼️ The fourth picture is of Kaguya-chan, the mascot of Hiroryo Town.

At Changlong Brewpark. The second drink was Shikisaki. We were told that it is recommended as a food sake, so we had it with our bento. It is a dry sake with a strong umami flavor that can be savored slowly. It has a completely different taste from the Sakurabito we had earlier, and is good for variety. ‼️ We got tipsy and bought some souvenirs for our holiday.

Dry with a hint of flavor. Almost room temperature at the beginning of the drink. No sweetness whatsoever! But it's not hard to drink. I don't know if this is a good analogy, but I drink it as a very light shochu. It's meant to be a sipping drink, but it goes into your body quickly! The second day starts with a cold sake. On the back of the label, it says it's a little dry. Perhaps because it is an unpasteurized sake, it doesn't have a strong alcoholic flavor, but it does have a bitter aftertaste and a tongue-tickling sensation. It may not be suitable for those who don't like the dry taste.

Does the alcohol taste come? And it ends up without either of them asserting themselves. I wonder if the advanced Kembishi is even more impressive. The bottle looks shining after drinking. At home. I know I'm a little late, but I'd like to wish everyone a happy new year. The first bottle I opened this year was Suzukagawa from the same brewery as Saku, which I got at the end of the year. The aroma, sweetness, acidity, and bitterness in the mouth are very similar. It wasn't as impressive as the Saku, but it was a delicious gem. At the end of the year, I mainly drank the same brands, but now that the year has started, I would like to try more and more new ones that I have never tasted before. This Suzukagawa is the first step, and I hope it will be a good start. I would like to continue my efforts to develop new sake.

I thought she might be able to drink cheaper with the family discount, but alas 😢. Since the last Ryuki was sweet, we wanted to try something a little dry, so we went looking for some Shizuoka sake 🤗. I don't have an image of Shizuoka sake as a modern sake, but I wonder if there is any 😅. Well, I took it out of the fridge and drank it cold 😃. Yes, it's refreshingly dry but surprisingly soft on the palate and easy to drink 😗. I thought this would definitely taste better lukewarm 🍶, so I warmed it up and the mouthfeel became softer and softer 🍶❣️ It is not a sake that has any special characteristics, but the price is reasonable, so it is worth buying 🤭.

Sake made with Aizan. Sake degree -7 This is a raw version of the one we drank before. It is sweet and sour, juicier than the fire-aged version, and has a slightly fizzy taste. A little bitterness at the end. I prefer it to the hi-ire version.

It's white and looks like ❄️⛄️. Sweet and mellow I was expecting it to be thicker, but it's pretty easy to drink 😊. I read the label on the back and it looks like it would be great with soda! It's the first time I've had a sake from the west, and I was expecting it to be more heavy, but it's surprisingly refreshing. It has a gassy and spicy aftertaste with a 19 degree alcohol smell that flows away.

Since it's spring🌸, I think I'll have another bottle of sake with spring in it. I bought a bottle of Shunshin by Nishide Sake Brewery in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. I've been curious about this sake for a while but never got around to it. I will have it with boiled flounder 🙏. I thought it might be a bit strong, but it wasn't. It has a nice richness, sweetness, acidity, and a mellow feeling 😆. It's a bit like a lighter version of Tamagawa. As the label says, I preferred it at room temperature rather than chilled 👍

I saw it for the first time at a department store tasting sale, so I bought it. It's not listed on the label, but according to the brewer's description, it's unfiltered undiluted sake. It says "light nigori" but it's not cloudy at all (laughs). It's refreshing and easy to drink. The acidity in the second half is impressive.

It's just the two of us on the second day of our trip. We started the day with a beer toast! After the second beer, my wife had beer and I had sake, cold yesterday and hot this time! On the first day of GW, the 29th, I purchased sake that goes well with meat 🥩. It's a collaboration product of Kumamoto's sake brewery "Zuitaka" and "Gullitcheu Fukushima" wrote the label. It's a dark, strong tasting sake that goes well with meat 👍️. I forgot to take a picture but the char-grilled chicken sold as a set is really hard 🤣. I have only a calendar day off, but I work on Saturday even though it's the first day of GW. I opened 3 bottles in a flash 👍️.
