Last night was a New Year's party with a couple I met last year. We had dinner at a nice restaurant and then went to Kokubuncho. After the fourth bar, I finally had a chance to drink sake. I have known the owner of this sake bar on the outskirts of the city for about 25 years now. The lighting doesn't look like it's the kind of place you'd enjoy sake, but don't worry about that. The selection is quite good, so go for something you've never tried before. First up is Hiryu, the one with Tatsumi Fujinami's red towel. A dry sake with a refreshing yet tasty flavor, just like Mr. Shinzawa! Thank you very much for your hospitality!

My best friend gave me a small bottle to share with my last drink 😆👍. By the way, my best friend's wife recommended it to me. She likes it dry 😄. It's been a long time since I've had a dry sake, but I'm ready to try it💦. The aroma is fruity👍. I'm not a fan of too much dryness, but it was a good experience 🤗.

Kansai Sake-new year party ㉔ After a short cab ride, we went to Chuin-san, familiar to us from Aladdin-san's post. Inokashira, a sake I had never heard of until now😅. The rice used is Hitogokochi. I think it was fresh, fruity and gently sweet 🤔.

The apple design of this sake made us think that it might have some sweetness, but it was a "traditional Chinese" sake. It has a strong spiciness and sharpness. It has no peculiarities and goes in easily. We will have it warmed up to accompany Yose-nabe.

At home. The first Ehime. Ishizuchi is the number one sake in Ehime. The aroma is a little fruity in the sake, and the mouthfeel is smooth and light. You can also feel the sweetness and flavor of the rice. These are just a few of the sakes that I've had in the last few days, sakes that I would never have encountered otherwise, but that I was able to find by filling in the map of Japan with this sakenowa. Purchased on a business trip to Tokyo to try it. Almost a year later, I finally opened the bottle. It is sweet, with a hint of acidity, maybe the work of wine yeast. Finally, the rice flavor tastes like Koshihikari from Tango. Bats for sure. The 22nd year was brewed with Italian rice called Carnaroli, which I wanted to drink.
