This is the Aino-sato Junmai-shu from Nanyo Jozo, which is famous for Hanayo-yoku. It's a delicious sake with a good balance of umami and sourness, like a fresh apple. It's delicious 😋 and the price is good too. The price is 1320 yen for a four-pack.

Is this a local brand of the same brewery as Hanayo-yoku? The rice is said to be Gohyakumangoku. It's a completely different brew, but it's refreshing and has a gorgeous taste. I had an image of it being classical and hard to drink, but it's a modern sake with impressive acidity. The one I drank recently that is similar is GOGO Gohashi. Gohashi has a muscat-like atmosphere, and this one has a green apple-like atmosphere.

Next, here is a bottle from ‼️ that was Miyajima's recommendation for the Shinshu Jizake Hanpukai. ‼️ To be honest, I can't really tell the difference 😅 although the richness of the orikagarami is better. I just keep reaching for the ogara-mi 😆. Maybe it's the bitterness that makes it better for eating 😋. Either way it's delicious, so this comparison is a lot of fun ‼️4

I was drawn to the limited edition label because it seems that from this year they have changed from Daiginjo to Junmai Daiginjo 😁. I've always been curious about it because I often see it at Takashimaya, but this is my first time to drink it. The rice is Asahi rice and Yamadanishiki. It is fresh and has a strong sweet flavor, but the aroma and taste are a bit unique. I also feel a bit of hardness. I'll give it some more time and see how it goes. Last night was a New Year's party with a couple I met last year. We had dinner at a nice restaurant and then went to Kokubuncho. After the fourth bar, I finally had a chance to drink sake. I have known the owner of this sake bar on the outskirts of the city for about 25 years now. The lighting doesn't look like it's the kind of place you'd enjoy sake, but don't worry about that. The selection is quite good, so go for something you've never tried before. First up is Hiryu, the one with Tatsumi Fujinami's red towel. A dry sake with a refreshing yet tasty flavor, just like Mr. Shinzawa! Thank you very much for your hospitality!
