きっしーYesterday, I had a drink with a client of mine at Sushi Katsu in Mishima. He likes sake, so I bought a bottle each of fruity and dry sake at the Kuboyama Sake Shop, and brought them in to match with our meal.
After discussing with the staff at the Kuboyama Sake Store, we chose a dry sake called "Drunken Whale," which has become a standard.
I had some trouble with "Daishinshu" and "Yokoyama", but I decided to go with "Drunken Whale" because it's clean and refreshing.

After discussing with the clerk at the Kuboyama Sake Store, I chose the fruity type, "Shiraisen" from Gifu. I had never heard of this brand before, but I decided to go for a more aggressive approach rather than a stable one, so I didn't choose "Senkou", "Akatake", or "Kokuryu". I heard that the water they use is quite soft, so it's a delicious finish.
Then, when I put it in my mouth... hmm?
Fruity? Isn't it a little thick? There's a lot of rice feeling. The taste is a mix of sweetness and bitterness like plums. Did I miss this? But when you take two or three sips, you don't care about the density anymore, and it turns into a delicious taste!
I see, I see.
So this is the kind of sake it is. It's really deep.
By the way, we got a call that the "Shinshu Kamearei Junmai Ginjo Miyamanishiki" that we had reserved for that day had arrived at the Kuboyama Sake Shop. Since there was a restriction of one bottle per person, I didn't want to use it for work (lol), so I decided to drink it all myself, and kept it in the company fridge (lol).

I drank a lot of "Modern Senkou Mujuku" with the off-line meeting.
It has a fresh pear or green apple aroma with a moderate sweetness and a refreshing acidity.
I've been drinking Senkou for a while now and I can't help but finish it in one day....

This time, "Happy New Born" doesn't have much aroma, but it has a refreshing taste typical of Tobiran. Not too spicy, not too sweet, a nice balance and easy to drink 💛

I drink too much Senkou Modern, it's not good. きっしーWe had a drinking party yesterday, so we brought in our own sake. The sake we brought in was this "Kido Agara no Tamada de Nurtured Yamadanishiki Low Polishing 80%" and "Gakki Masamune Junjo".
The balance of sweetness and sourness is typical of Kido, not too sweet, and the sourness washes away the sweetness.
This is delicious in its own right - I wish I could have drunk it in a handsome wine glass.

Sharaku is also very stable.

Atago no Matsu started when I fell in love with "Harukoi" at an Izakaya and bought a bottle myself! When I saw that "Hitonatsu no Koi" had been uploaded on Sake no Wa, I immediately dashed to Kuboyama Sake Store (lol) and waited for the opportunity to drink it.
It doesn't have much of an aroma. The taste is sharp and refreshing compared to the strawberry-like sweet and sour taste of Harukoi. It's not dry at all, and has a slight sweetness, but it's quite moderate. It has a taste like a summer sake! This looks like it would go well with food!
I think I'm going to fall in love with good sake for a summer too!
