At a local liquor store, I saw an unfamiliar sake from the Ryoseki Brewery. I was looking at it, thinking "Hana Yuu" was good, but the store's pop-up sign said it was an experimental series, so the number was limited, and in fact there was only one bottle on the shelf. I had to buy it! I had to buy it! I had to buy it! And I bought it (or did the store put me up to it? LOL) Ryoseki Labo Kurazuke Yeast I bought a new experimental sake rice from Akita, Ichihozumi, with brewer's yeast? This is delicious! It's a little too sweet and tasty. Sweet and delicious? Gentle. Fruity but not sour freshness pattern? Sake level - 18.5 degrees, but soft and beautifully sweet, not too sweet! It's a slippery and dangerous one 😋.

Good morning, Takashi 🐥. I would definitely buy this one if it was available and if there was only one left 😆 I don't mind being taken for a ride 🤣. Does it look like Hana Yuu or Sui Yuu?

Takashi
Thank you, Pon 😊. Personally, the moment I drank it, I "hit the jackpot!" It was the right decision to buy it! I thought 😆. My stupid tongue, but I think it is similar. Sweet but clean and clear? Slightly stronger taste?

I went to a local liquor store, and while I was browsing around thinking, "It's about time for fall sake," I noticed a craft sake from Hirairoku Brewing called "Re:vive"! I was about to buy this one, but next to it was a "layer pear" from the same Hirairoku Brewery, and it was labeled "New Arrival"! I like pears, and I also like new arrivals, so? I bought it! Can you feel the history and story? It looks like a craft sake (content omitted). Among them, Layer is a mixed brew with various ingredients added (pears this time). So the ingredients are rice, rice malt, germinated brown rice, and pears. When you drink it, it doesn't taste like sake (of course it does 😆). It has a sour taste. It's a little bit like wine, but the acidity is different from white wine 🤔. Pear? Pear? Sweetness is soft. This is delicious. It goes down smoothly 😋. I have to save it so I don't finish it 😠. The second day I left it out, the peariness doubled 😚.

Souvenirs from my wife's visit to her children's place (Chugoku-Shikoku) Seikagami Jungin Chalet Bottle (with glass) 🍶. My wife said she bought it because it looked pretty, since she doesn't drink sake first. Beautiful bottle and glass indeed! If I had to guess, I'd say it was dry. But it's not so much light and refreshing as it is full of flavor 😋. It's a single batch, so it'll be gone in no time 😭

Good morning, Takashi 🐥. Beautiful bottle and glass of goodies ✨. Somehow it seems to me that looks are proportional to taste 😁 so when in doubt, I choose based on looks, just like your wife 😆.

Yesterday, the annual tennis 🎾 and hot spring ♨️ with high school classmates and drinking 🍻 (held in the dive of the) First time in Shonandai. I had a few different kinds of drinks, but they brought me a bottle and I was a little too bad about taking pictures, so... just this one! Tateno River confluence Sweet and tasty, but refreshing! Elegant and beautiful image of sake! Delicious 😋. My friend also said it was delicious and drank the most of this! The last picture is a bonus, a mega mug 🍺 after a bath! We laughed a lot yesterday 🤣🤣🤣

Yesterday, my eldest son's girlfriend's parents came to Yokohama from Kyushu (traveling?). We had dinner together as a way of greeting them. We had a French lunch at a French restaurant in the hotel. After that, we went sightseeing in Yokohama for a bit, and in the evening, we went to a shish-kebab restaurant for a light meal (in fact, we ate quite a lot). I had to save myself from drinking too much 😅. But I wanted to have a little sake 😋. HITAKAMI Clear, dry (it's super dry, after all). Goes well with fried food, nice and smooth Still a lot of work to do, but I support two young people! I'm sure you'll be fine! Keep up the good work!

As soon as I got back from my trip to Kiso on the 1st, I went on a business trip and ate out a lot, so I did not eat at home for a long time. My wife boiled and froze the corn "Megumi" at my classmate's place. Finally, I could eat it. It was still sweet 😋. Paired it with Nakanori's Kazakoshi Aorashi that I bought in Kiso. This is a fire-roasted version almost identical to the one we enjoyed at the sake brewery! It has umami and sweetness, but it's light, not heavy. A little citrusy acidity, but not too sour. It's a little citrusy and sour, but not too acidic. Delicious 🥰. I also bought 4 oyaki, but my wife ate all of them 😭

Tokyo Station (2) Hiroshima Nishiki This is also my first time to drink it. But on this day, I tasted it well, recorded it, and what not, dim memory 🤔. I heard that Kamotsuru revived the fantastic sake rice Hiroshima Nishiki and made it... I think this one was dry too. I think it was a bit more sour than the Eikawa I had a while ago, Lastly, a photo of the restroom. Tokyo station in front of the restroom, in the all-glass front (all sides) 😳 For the sake of those involved, let's do even better! I thought to myself

Tokyo Station (1) A client contacted me to meet and talk outside of the office, so we went to Tokyo Station for dinner (Yakitori). Naturally, the topic of the conversation was a heavy one. So, I didn't take any pictures of the drinks and food, or make any notes, At the end of the conversation, when things had settled down somewhat, I took a picture of the sake bottles, but only the last dish of shiitake mushrooms (🍄‍🟫) 😢. I wasn't in a state to take notes, and I didn't taste the food, so my memory is a bit dubious, but I'll try to document it in case it's worth it! This is my first time to drink Eikawa. I think it was a dry and crispy type? I think so! It's a refreshing drink that goes down smoothly while eating yakitori.

Sake bar in Gifu, what should I try next? I decided on this one, which has a recommendation sticker on the menu! Mibu This is also my first time to drink this! What a stylish bottle! This one tastes a little stronger and sweeter. It's not fruity sourness and sweetness? A calm sweetness? (What's that? 🤣) (It was planned by Masudaya and brewed by Iinuma Meizo, apparently. I like "wherever there is sake, there is good luck" 😘.

Yesterday, we had our annual drinking party with members from different industries who have known each other for 20 years (alumni for 3 months only)! The first party was at a pub in Azabu-juban, where we laughed a lot🤣, and those who could went to the second party at an izakaya (Japanese-style pub). We decided to go with something we had never had before, so we went to Bunraku. Surprisingly, we didn't drink any sake from Saitama. But this is from the same brewery as Sairai. It's a refreshing, rather dry sake. It is a honjozo (honjozo is a sake made from pure sake), so is it a food sake? Is it much different from the Sairai I drank before? (Vague memory). But I'm grateful to be able to keep having a relationship with members of different companies and different ages (or, to put it more broadly, the same age group) in this way 😉.

Sendai 3) Yesterday, after work, I went to a bar (café) owned by a junior employee of my former company. After eating sushi with my senpai, we went to a bar (cafe) run by a junior employee of my former company. I asked him if he had any sake. I asked him if he had any sake, and he gave me a bottle of Kawatsuru! This time, I couldn't find any sake from Miyagi (I haven't been to such a place). (I don't go to such places) Kawatsuru Touji's Souvenir - Unpasteurized Sake wrapped in Bamboo Bark I've never seen Kawatsuru before! It's wrapped in some kind of bamboo bark. The taste is a bit strong and robust. High alcohol content This is the second time I've been to this restaurant, but it's always a private party! Is it okay? I'm not sure 🥶. Good luck! 💪.

Sendai (2) Another drink at an expensive yakitori restaurant Daishinshu Autumn Jungin In the season of autumn sake 🍁. A little more fruity-sweet than the earlier Tamitsu? But it's refreshing. Finally, I asked for the bill, As expected, it was 10,000 yen. I was planning to have a little drink today, but... 😭 But the yakitori was delicious... 😭

Sendai (1) I was in Sendai for work from yesterday to today. After arriving in Sendai the day before yesterday, I tried to find a nice place to have a drink on the Internet, but I got lost and went to an unknown restaurant by myself, The moment I entered the restaurant, I knew it was expensive 😅! I knew it was expensive the moment I entered the restaurant😅. There was no menu and I was asked "Do you have anything you don't like? They said "We only leave it to you". I answered the usual "No broccoli", but this is a yakitori restaurant! I was told that they have a separate sake menu, so I asked for it, and they had some sake that looked good, but there was no Miyagi sake among the dozen or so... And many of the sakes are quite unique? Like craft sake, fresh sweet, and quite sour. 、、、、 Maybe it's personal taste, but many of them are good to drink by themselves, but do you think they go well with yakitori? I think so..., In this lineup, I'd have to go with Tamitsu. It has a sweet taste of rice, but it's clean and not too sweet. I like this for yakitori 🤔.

To Kiso with high school classmates (5) Extra A two-day and one-night trip to Kiso with my high school classmates ended happily, thanks to a typhoon that dodged us and left all the places in a state of gala-sukiyaki. We took the ropeway halfway up Mt. Ontake, drank local beer, visited a winery, and had another party on the "Azusa" express train on the way home. On the way back, we drank more (of course), but this is the only picture I have of it. Masumi to end the trip. As usual, the sake was clear and gentle. It was delicious, and I saved some of it from sloshing around 😆. But "Azusa" is dangerous because of the in-train sales 🍶☠️

To Kiso with high school classmates (4) After dinner at the pension, we had a party in another room. The other guests canceled their reservations and we had the place to ourselves 🤣. (The pensioner made soup with corn from my classmate's house, which was also delicious) At Nakazen Sake Brewery, my classmate who was a driver and couldn't taste the sake opened a bottle of Fuetsu Aoarashi that he bought there because he was sorry he couldn't drink it! This is the one I liked at the tasting! It tastes like rice, but sweet and sour. A little apricot taste, aroma? I drank too much from morning till night, including some I didn't upload. But until a few minutes ago, I never imagined myself hanging out with my high school classmates like this! Finally, at night, there were so many stars, I've never seen so many stars in the sky ✨.

To Kiso with high school classmates (3) We went to a ranch, took a hot spring bath, and the rain gradually stopped. Mt. Ontake is beautiful. A typhoon like this is coming (doesn't it come often?). On the day of the typhoon, there was no traffic everywhere 😆. We stayed at a pension owned by a friend of my classmate. We also brought in some delicious corn from the home of one of our classmates. It was so sweet 😋. After dinner, we went to Nanasho, which we couldn't make it to because we were so busy. Pretty solid taste? Sweet and tasty. Not much acidity, it seems. I wanted to go to Nanasho Sake Brewery too, but hesitated due to the situation. Too bad, but oh well 😙.

To Kiso with high school classmates (2) Eight classmates, some of them drivers, not all of them drink, but we decided to go for it. After lunch, we went to Nakanori and Zenkichi's Nakazen Sake Brewery in the pouring rain! They told us that they have not given tours of the brewery since Corona, and that they were a bit short-staffed. We tasted three kinds of sake in the beautiful store. Fuetsu Seiarashi Junmai Ginjo Nama Genjyo Nakanori-san Miyamanishiki Junmai Ginjo Nakanori-san Junmai Daiginjo We were told that if we ordered a set, we would get a better price if we added the Junmai Daiginjo to the set 😄. The Junmai Daiginjo is a beautiful sake. The Junmai Daiginjo is a beautiful sake, clear, easy to drink, and delicious. Everything was delicious! Personally, I also like the Fuetsu Seiran with sweet and sour taste 😋.

To Kiso with high school classmates (1) One of my high school classmates lives in Kaida Kogen, Nagano, so we went to visit him on Saturday and Sunday. Total of 8 people. We were worried about the typhoon, but we managed to leave! We were divided into a train group and a car group, and the train group had various cups of sake and started drinking in the morning. We took the "Azusa" train from Hachioji to Shiojiri, On the train, we had a cup of sake from Nakanori-san for today's preview. Tasteful, but not too sweet and clear. Sake-like 😋. Then we met up with the car group and had too much soba for lunch 🤣.
