Izakaya Shinkansen Modoki (on the way home yesterday) On a business trip to Yamaguchi, I had a drink at a restaurant at night and a drink on the Shinkansen on the way home... I was going to stop both and take one or the other, but I ended up taking both 😝. This time, this is Kaikyo, a sake from Shimonoseki that I haven't had in a long time (was it a good image before?). Clear, with a bit of sweetness. No fruity acidity. It's a daiginjo, but it's al-soaked, so maybe that's the feeling? I don't dislike it. Maybe the clear feeling is because I bought it chilled. A little mellow on the tongue, too. For a cold daiginjo, it feels thick😋. Hiroshima, Okayama and safe... still empty next door😅. Shin-Kobe, out! ...Gaijin next to me.., I think I'll stop here instead of going for another bottle... 🤣 A list of items on the menu Seafood rolls from the fish shop (I just wanted to eat them) Choshu chicken crispy sticks (the name sounds like Yamaguchi) Sea style bamboo rings grilled in Senzaki (seems to be a specialty) Eggs found in the moon.
