⭐︎ I was in Nagano on a business trip yesterday. So I visited kaku.uchi in front of Nagano station for the third time, which was mentioned in Ane's post the day before. It was a corner bar for about 6 people, but there were rare sakes unique to Nagano. The third sake we drank was a light nigori from Yamazan. The heavy sweetness, richness of rice, and crispness of nigori sake were wonderful. I drank too much sake at three houses. Beer x2 -> No.6S-R -> Tobiroki -> Yamazan -> 2 kinds of Kamerei -> Daishinshu -> Yamazan...I forgot 😢.

⭐︎ Sunday, May 5, Children's Day. After climbing Mt. Daisen, we had a review meeting at a friend's house in Chigasaki. I was too old to climb a mountain for the first time. It was pretty tough 😢. So, we had a reflection meeting. This is a natural sake brewed by a very old method. It took a lot of effort and a long time to brew. Despite that I forgot the taste 🙇‍♂️ But I remember it was delicious 😁.

⭐︎ Went to the 7th anniversary of my mother-in-law's death in the morning and bought grilled chicken and sea bream sashimi on the way home. After returning home, we have a lunchtime drink. This is my first time drinking Kanbokuto. It has a strong richness and umami of rice, which is typical of nigori sake, with some sweetness. Delicious 🤤. As stated on the back label, the aroma of moromi and pleasant spiciness are in harmony. Lunch sake is a good choice 😁.

⭐︎ Tomonori Junmai Ginjo is from Gassan brewery, Yoshida Shuzo in Shimane. It seems to be the name of the president. As you can imagine from the tag, it has a rich flavor. The bitterness, sweetness, and umami all assert themselves, but they are well balanced. It was delicious with Japanese food. Beer → Tomonori → Kasen → Enayama → Kawazuru → Kuheiji light nigori

So we had lunchtime sake. We had a simple oyster nabe and sake. The first Kuheiji light nigori I have had in a year is delicious. The aroma is moderate. When you drink it, it is sweet. But when you turn it around in your mouth, you can feel the acidity, the tangy gasiness, and the umami that is typical of Yamada-Nishiki. Beer (black + lager) → Kuheiji → the rest of Tsururei

⭐︎ I skipped work and got this Shinshu Kamerei at Okazaki-san when I went on a one-day business trip to Ueda last week. Last night, I took the liberty of drinking it as a birthday celebration. It is one of the sharpest raw sake I have had recently. It was so delicious that I shared it with the owner. Beer → Kamerei → Kuroryu → Kagatobi → Nechiozan And then we sank 😢.

⭐︎ The first afternoon of a three-day weekend is curry pot in Jyushiyo: ⁉️ I opened a bottle that I bought in last year's hanpukai (Masariya) and kept in the fridge for 6 months because it was too good to waste. Following last week, this is also my birthday flying 😏. Sweet 😎! The sweetness stands out with a strong fruity aroma, followed by a slight gasiness. The sweetness is tempered. Delicious. It has a nice flavor that is typical of Jyushiyo, accustomed to sweetness. I may be wrong, but I think it is a thick wind forest ❓ And it is already gone 😢. I guess the next one will be the rest of Tsururei from last week. Beer -> Jyushiyo -> maybe Tsururei

⭐︎ It was cold and rainy in Yokohama today from this morning. I managed to walk the dog and go to the dry cleaner, but that was it. So I'll be drinking from noon 🙇‍♂️ Hot Dewazakura sake with oden and pickled Chinese cabbage. It was my wife's suggestion, but what a great combination. I had Dewazakura Jungin, which I thought was too good for hot sake, but I had it hot all the way through. Delicious. 2 cans of beer -> 1 bottle of Dewazakura -> Tsururei

It goes well with meat and I didn't feel the need for red wine 🍷. I guess anything is good as long as you can drink it 😢. I'm glad it put my wife in a good mood. The owner told us that it was a very rare sake. It is not too sweet for a Jyushiyo. It has a refined aroma of rice and a rich flavor. It is a well-balanced sake with a modest assertiveness. 1.500 yen/120cc seems to be cheap 😁. Beer → Kuheiji → Hakurakusei → Jyushidai → Ergemono

⭐︎ Last night we had dinner at the famous local restaurant Itsuki Yu🍣. First time at night. My wife and I only come here for lunch. Gahaha 😂 The sake "Tatomo" special junmai from Ojiya, the owner's hometown. It is slightly light and dry with a delicious rice flavor and goes well with sashimi and sushi. The only sake available is this special junmai and a honjozo for heating sake. It was delicious 😁. 　Beer -> 3 bottles of TAYU per person (somewhat moderately)

⭐︎ Today, I was able to clear up some pending issues and I really wanted to have a drink, so I invited my business partner's general manager to New Levaya. After beer, it's hanayo. Hachitan-nishiki. As expected, the sweetness stands out from the fruity aroma, and then it disappears cleanly. The gasiness also adds an essence that is typical of Hanayosu. It was delicious with grilled chicken. I drank too much premier sake 😢. 　Beer -> Hanahayokyu -> NO.6 -> Jyushidai -> Hakurakusei -> Kuheiji -> Oumine -> Jikin.

⭐︎ After visiting Ise, I had a glass of "Okagesama" nama sake at Iseman's directly-managed store in Oharaicho. It was rich and full of flavor plus gas. Delicious! I had it after eating akafuku, but it was also served with akafuku. I'm off to Wadakane now 😁.

⭐︎ Yesterday, I had lunch and drinks at a Japanese restaurant called Mizunoren with some acquaintances whom I hadn't seen in 40 years. We had a relaxed and lively conversation about the old days in the hotel. Then we went to the hotel bar and sank at a local cheap Italian restaurant 🇮🇹 😢. The sparkling sake we drank at the end of the meal was impressive and I will upload it here. I don't like carbonation afterwards, but the pear-like mouthfeel, the richness and flavor of the rice, and the champagne-like fizziness were very good. It also went well with elegant Japanese food. (1) foam x 2 -> Tasake -> Tengu Mai -> Chiyonokame -> Kaygetsu 2) Isami on the rocks (3) A bottle of cheap red wine 🍷 for two people

⭐︎ Yesterday we had dinner at a Japanese restaurant in the same hotel after the New Year's greeting exchange meeting. This boy is cute, isn't he? He was so shiny! I sometimes drink Kozen Josui, but this is my first time to drink Junmai Daiginjo. It was a very rich, umami, and full-bodied sake. 　New Year's party (beer and white wine) → beer → Kouzenjosui → Nabeshima → I forgot → 🍜. I forgot 🍜 Ramen noodles 😢.
