Annual event.
Can't start without it.
100% Miyamanishiki from Aizu
A gem using Utsukushima sparkling yeast
It has a nice sharpness, but it is mellow, and the spiciness comes at first, followed by a lingering sweetness...delicious!
The label on the back of the bottle has a nice touch that wasn't there last year. What a cool touch!
It's a good luck charm, not a omikuji, but I didn't draw a omikuji this year, so as a New Year man, I'm kind of happy ✨.
720ml, about 1300 yen
I bought this sake after reading the comments about other brands of Sake-no-Wa, but it is a refreshing junmai sake with no characteristics as I expected.
Some people like it, but for those who prefer fruity sake, it doesn't stick to them at all.
It might be better to drink it with a glass of sake.
Umakuchi type
Rice used: Miyamanishiki Polishing ratio: 60
Alcohol content: 16
Sake meter: +0.5 Acidity: 1.7
The aroma is like white grape or pineapple, and the taste is dry with juicy rice.
When served cold
The taste is slightly caramelized sweetness and a firm acidity, with a slight alcohol taste at the end.
When heated, the sweetness is stronger and the acidity is weaker (more caramelized), and the alcohol is weaker, but there is a slight bitterness.
Oden with warmed sake (harmony) Pumpkin and minced meat stew (harmony) *Kabocha dishes and caramelization go well together😊Sukiyaki with beef (harmony, neutralization)
Pizza🍕Margarita
It is quite a popular sake, and you don't drink it if you think you can drink it anytime you want.
Today I went into a liquor store thinking I wanted a glass of wine, but I found a sake that reminded me of wine.
It is mildly delicious. It is a delicious sake with a hint of sweetness and a nice smooth taste that goes down your throat. Eikawa, I should have drunk it earlier.
Umakuchi type
Rice used: Toyonishiki produced in Aizu
Rice polishing ratio: 55% Alcohol content: 15
This sake has a delicious taste of rice with a gentle sweetness. It has a slight pineapple-like aroma, and a slight bitterness at the end to tighten the aftertaste 😊.
It would go well with something like steamed pork or German potatoes🍟. ❗️
Fukushima Prefecture
Junmai Ginjyo Nama-nihonjunshu Hatsu Shibori-Hajime
Rice polishing ratio 60
Alcohol 16%.
Purchased as part of Kakuyasu's campaign.
It is a special sake that is pressed at the brewery on New Year's Eve and bottled at exactly midnight on New Year's Day.
It arrived on January 1 and was enjoyed immediately.
The aroma is like grape juice.
The taste is dry and the rice is juicy.
The alcohol content is high, and you may get drunk quickly 😅.
