At SAKE MEETING in Toride Taikan Gold Award-winning Sake Full and lustrous Clear, yet rich and crisp It is a gold medal-winning sake that is so flawless that it is almost obnoxious! It seems silly to review this sake, but I can't drink it unless I have a chance to do so, so I'll record it here. The participants of the event have a common goal of drinking good sake, so even those who don't know each other can enjoy friendly conversation. I really think it is a wonderful event as I share snacks with a group of people who happen to share the same table. The venue's thoughtfulness in preparing water-only vending machines is also a nice touch! Thank you very much.

There are events every weekend in October. First of all, SAKE MEETING in Toride This is an annual event where sake breweries in Ibaraki Prefecture bring sake they want you to drink now. A unique opportunity to meet the brewers before the brewing process begins! Review the sake you like! Raifuku Ankou Brewed with low glutelinous sake rice "Mizuhonoka" and carnation flower yeast. A challenging sake that is typical of Raifuku! Muscat and lychee aromas are similar to those of sake made with Shunyo Refreshing and refreshing aftertaste The question remains as to why anglerfish is used and whether it goes well with anglerfish, but we look forward to the future of this modern flavor!

drinking outside (as opposed to inside) I was curious about the unfamiliar "Ginfukiyuki" and ordered it from Raifuku. Ginfukiyuki is a rice suitable for sake brewing in Shiga Prefecture. The brewer of Raifuku has its roots in the Omi merchants. The yeast is poppy flower yeast. Mild aroma for Raifuku Low acidity It is hard to describe when it is cold. It is a delicious sake with a certain something that sticks with you. As you drink it slowly, the temperature rises and the sweetness and umami come out. Sweetness and umami come out. The fruitiness comes out and it's even better. It is a type of sake that makes its presence felt while staying close to the drinker. at the sake flavor

October 1 is Sake Day Since there is no event nearby I will drink sake at home while watching a nationwide toast broadcasted on the Internet. Early Autumn at Asahi Koh The rice, the degree of polishing, and the yeast are all different The blend is different every year Aroma of mellow, ripe persimmon The layered sweetness of wasanbon and fruits The flavors are exquisite! And yet, the overall taste is mellow and the aftertaste is mild. Another excellent mixed sake this year! Capsicum aroma of 1801? Noticeable sweetness from Aizan? Miyamanishiki for the clean aftertaste? It is fun to drink while imagining!

A series of alcoholic beverages my dad was drinking when I went home to my parents. It's not so bad, not so bad, just a good sake. It's enough to drink this kind of sake with beer for dinner. I heard that the toji (master brewer) of Nemoto Sake Brewery quit about 2 years ago, but I thought it would be a relief if they could make sake like this, but... But then I looked at the label and saw that it was made by Mito-based Meiri Sake Brewery........ It was a bit sad. Still, I hope this local sake brewery will remain!

Memories of a night in Morioka Go to Izakaya (Japanese-style pub) where you can eat natural sea squirt When I come to Iwate, I want to eat sea squirt. We were poured a generous amount of Murasakuchu Momiji Label! Sweetness with a sense of body after one summer! The acidity is low and the aftertaste is bitter. It enhances the sweetness of natural sea squirt sashimi.

Memories of a trip to Kamaishi, the second house, Part 2 Next is NEWBORN Aizan in Akabu! Freshly opened and slightly sparkling! Gorgeous and juicy, reminiscent of green apples! Not so sweet due to the carbonation. A little bit of Yamadanishiki left over was also served! This one is as balanced as you'd expect! I was curious about the "fried "padron" on the menu! The owner told us that they grow them in Tono, somewhere between green peppers and green peppers! I see... It tastes just like that! Good for a snack! It's good to have a hit once in a while! The first one we went to was Onikan, which also had an autograph of Izuru Yoshida! I heard he stopped by there when he was filming "Japan's 100 Low Mountains", not "Bar Nomadaki". The owner said he was a man who ate and drank a lot. I'm glad it's just as it was on TV In Kamaishi, we only drank sake and did not do much sightseeing, but that's part of the fun!

Organizing past records during the holidays in Hima September 6, the second night in Kamaishi We went to two more restaurants in Kamaishi, which is not an easy place to visit. Kamaishi Fishing Fire Bar Kamariba A cozy restaurant district newly built to accommodate the remaining restaurants in temporary housing. Among them, we went to "YoshiYoshi", which has a reputation for having a large variety of sake. Even though it was a Friday, there was not a single person in the restaurant! As I expected, the restaurant was also fully booked. The first restaurant was the local Hamachidori. Let's drink Akabu here! The lady recommended "Sea". The label read "SEA," which I understood to mean the sea. White malted rice? It has a refreshing taste with a strong citric acidity that makes you think it's white malted rice! Even if you are drunk, you can drink it smoothly. Akabu Shuzo was originally a sake brewery located in the neighboring town of Otsuchi. It is also deeply moving to drink Akabu here, which was newly established after the earthquake in Morioka.

Shinanonishiki started the Chogen series with SDGs in mind M91 is Miyamanishiki 91% polished rice Minimal loss Minimal label area Aroma is slightly banana-like Aroma of grain A touch of citric acid. Low alcohol content, but with a strong flavor. Good bitterness and sharp aftertaste. Can also be served warmed. I guess the trend is toward low alcohol content.

Today is the fifteenth night of the year There are no dumplings or silver grass, but there is sake A year old Shinanotsuru sake Even though it is raw sake, it did not fall apart at all. Capsicum aroma when the bottle is opened Sweet and sour pineapple As the day goes by, it becomes like melon. The rich sweet flavor is typical of Shinanotsuru. Raise the temperature and it shows its full potential. It's like licking honey.

At Nagashi Somen for adults A bottle of sake that a friend of mine bought at great expense We are soberly grateful for their efforts. Green apple aroma Calm, elegant and well-balanced A good sake with nothing to complain about! I'd like to drink as many as I can. But the heat made me dizzy, so I drank sparingly.

Annual Nagashi Somen (fine white noodles) party for adults at a friend's house We look forward to the somen noodles, but we also look forward to the sake we bring with us! Comet (Shah) is a souvenir from Nagano by a friend of mine! Why Sha? He must like it. I don't know what it looks like to my old eyes. I found out later that it was a picture of an apple by looking at an enlarged image on the Internet. The impression is sweet and sour The characteristic acidity is malic acid. The light body and clean aftertaste are similar to Miyamanishiki. Low alcohol content makes it refreshing even when drinking outside in extremely hot weather.

Participating in an event called "Young Dawn" in Otemachi It was hot but nice to drink outside Maybe it was my imagination, but there were many breweries serving heated sake. Tamagawa, Tomirei, Okuharima, Tsuki no I, etc. An endless loop of cold sake to refresh the palate between heated sake! I drank sake from so many breweries It's too much trouble to keep track of them all. I'll try the aged sake of Benten Musume, which left a strong impression on me. Made with locally produced Tamakae sake I think it was H28BY Sipped hot at 80 degrees Celsius while letting it cool down. The aroma of assured maturity and the flavor that spreads in the mouth. The brewer's face relaxed unintentionally, and the brewer smiled when he saw it! This is the best part of an event in which the brewer participates! The sweetness is moderate, and the taste is more refreshing and crisp than expected. It makes me want to eat nukazuke pickles and sushi. Many of the breweries were new to me. Thank you for a very enjoyable time!

Memories of the trip: A night in Kamaishi At a tavern near the inn A restaurant run by a single proprietress who looks like a snack mom. The only sake they serve is Hamachidori. Excellent, excellent, excellent! Labels never seen before even at Hamachidori (the two on the left) Genzui, which is not widely available. Neighborhood terroir made with Ginga from the neighboring town of Otsuchi and water from Otsuchi Junmai Ginjo is Refreshingly citrusy and dry Soft ginjo aroma Junmai Daiginjo is Naturally cleaner and less citrusy Elegant and full-bodied Sashimi assortment as a side dish I've never tasted Donko no Namenro before! The thick, leatherfish-like gizzard calls for sake! Fortunately or unfortunately, there were no other customers, so we were able to monopolize Mom and listen to her talk about the tsunami and the current situation in Kamaishi! I almost forgot the details... I don't remember most of the details! So they bought a new land and rebuilt. I heard that she opened her store for the customers who had nowhere else to go when she was in Korona. Rock 'n' roll stories are good for a bar! It was a good memory of the trip.

Visit to Nanbu Bijin's brewery Visiting sake breweries is becoming a major purpose of travel... They renovated a part of the brewery and built a new space for drinking. There is a sake server and 12 kinds of sake can be tasted for 100 yen per glass... a dreamy space! A unique chance to compare the different rice series! I drank from one end to the other, but the Sake Mirai (leftmost) was in good condition with fruity sweetness and acidity! Yamadanishiki was balanced, Omachi was robust, and Aizan had a vague sweet-umami impression! Fortunately, I was the only customer, so I had a good time listening to the brewery's elder brother talk about his hardships. Souvenirs included hiyaoroshi. The brewer said it was very good, and it had a complex flavor and was very tasty! I want to savor it after I get back home!
