Shinshu Kamerei Junmai Ginjo Yamae Nishiki Unfiltered Nama-shu 720ml Rice used: 100% Yamae-Nishiki from Nagano Prefecture Rice polishing ratio 55 Alcohol 15% 25.01% Manufactured Shinshu Kamerei has been on the top of the list of recommendations for a while now, so we opened a bottle. It is a set of a certain store. It was probably kept in the refrigerator at an icy temperature. I was worried about the aroma of the six-month-old nama-shu, but there was no problem at all. Fresh and fruity, it's still going strong. Full of bliss? It is 🥰.

Abe Junmai Daiginjo Gold Label Hi-iri 720ml Rice polishing ratio 45 Alcohol 14%. Purchased last year and waiting in the refrigerator at home. More than a year had passed 😅. I never had a chance to open the bottle because it was a waste and not for aging purpose. So I brought it to a drinking party at an old private house in Yao. This was the third bottle I opened after Otter Blue and Keida. The bottle was light and sweet because the Keida was quite heavy, so I screwed up the order a little. It was a waste of Abegold 😭. But it's hot from this morning too 🥵.

Chiyotsuru Eda (Nama Sake) Rice variety Tominokou (organically grown in Namekawa) Rice polishing ratio 60 Alcohol content 18%. This is one of the limited edition of 1,100 bottles, which was brought to us in December of the year before last and aged for a year and a half in the refrigerator at home. The last time we aged it for a year, it had a strong hiney aroma and we felt it was a failure. At one and a half years, I didn't feel the twangy aroma at first, but as it got closer to room temperature, the twangy aroma started to appear. I think it would be better to let it age more.

Otter Blue DASSAI BLUE Type 50 720ml Rice:Yamadanishiki Rice polishing ratio: 50 Alcohol content: 14%. I brought this to a drinking party at a friend's house from NY, I bought it last year and it has been waiting in my fridge for more than a year. I haven't had a chance to open the bottle 😅. It is a very expensive sake, over 4,000 yen for a 4-pack. It was also a hot day, but we had grilled chicken on a shichirin (a Japanese charcoal grill). The Otter Blue was refreshing and delicious 😊.

Shangiku OCEAN99 Junmai Daiginjo Starlight Sea -New Raw Sake 720ml Rice : Comet Rice Polishing Ratio : 50 Alcohol content : 15 This year's Hoshikai is very energetic. Yesterday was the second day! I opened the bottle with a "Shupon! It was tropical and very tasty. Yesterday was Goldwyn's family sale. The North Face tarp was 9,800 yen and my wife rejected it when I tried to buy it. 🙅‍♀️ Lunch was at Kanazawa Miso Ramen Shinzen 🍜.

Genmai Yamadanishiki Special Junmai Unfiltered Nama-shu 720ml Rice type:Yamadanishiki Rice polishing ratio: 59 Alcohol content: 16% 25.4 The bottle has a nice aroma when opened and wavering in the mouth. It starts with a soft sweet and sour taste and lingers for a long time. It is blissful. Grilled summer vegetables on an iron plate with pickled water eggplant, tomato and cucumber salad🥗. By the way, I'm in line at the Goldwyn family sale this morning. I've bought a North Face cooler box and a sleeping bag so far, which is helping me on my alcohol buying expedition 🚙.

Yamazan Junmai Ginjo Yamae-Nishiki Gowari-Gobu Unfiltered Nama-Shu 720ml Rice: Yamae-Nishiki 100% grown in Yaehara, Tomi-city, Nagano, Japan Rice polishing ratio: 55%, 25.5 Alcohol content: 15%. Yamazan which we brought to you last week. Recently, when I see it in the refrigerator at the store, I don't hesitate to pick it up without hesitation. This time, it has a characteristic sourness. It is just right for the hot summer. It goes perfectly with Hokkaido black bean edamame 😄.

I really wanted to have a bottle, but it was sold out. Mineral and refreshing, you can drink as much as you want. Sake Mirai and 4 types of Discovery will arrive the week after next 😉. Looks like the Kangiku army will continue for a while 😄.

Honkin Junmai Ginjo Bisei Nigori Nama Shu 720ml Rice used: 100% Miyamanishiki from Nagano Prefecture Rice polishing ratio 55 Alcohol level 16%. It has been waiting in the refrigerator for a while, but it is time to open the bottle. Open the bottle, puff it up, and tighten it up! It's very active 😆. After repeating 10 times, the bottle was finally opened. We had the active nigori. The dryness and the fruity taste are intertwined and it's so refreshing and delicious. I should have bought another bottle. But it gets drunk so fast when it's this hot😅.

Kangiku True White Yumachi 50 Unfiltered Nama-shu Junmai Daiginjo 720ml Rice : Omachi Rice polishing ratio : 50 Alcohol content : 16 The Kangiku Corps continues. This is the 8th year of the Kangiku origin. It is smooth, elegant, light, sweet, and delicious. By the way, the "True Red" orikagami is no longer on sale since last year. By the way, "True Red" is no longer available since last year, but will it ever come back? I am sure it is impossible unless the production volume increases. Also, there is only one True White released in May, and the brewery's FB page says that the number of distributors is limited this year. I'm glad my regular liquor store has it 😅.

Shangiku Matsuo boast Junmai Ginjo Remake 720ml Rice polishing ratio : 55 Alcohol content : 15 When I visited Chiba in April, I was served a bottle of this sake on draft. In fact, I received a bottle of this sake last fall from Izumiya for my home stock. It was not intended to be aged, but I kept putting it off because it was fire-brewed. It is a little bit sweet, but delicious. Even if it is not a monthly release, this is enough to satisfy me for everyday use only 😋.

Toyama Ekichu BAR Hokuriku Summer Sake Festival 2025⑧ Gen no Taki Junmai Ginjo Light Nigori Sake The president of the brewery himself poured it for us. Of course it was delicious. I had to take him to the sake shop. The price was 250 yen for one cup and 400 yen for two cups. We bought two cups each for four times. We stayed for about 30 minutes. I was able to enjoy the event alone while talking with the wholesaler and the brewer. The event will be held today and Saturday as well, so if you have time, please come. Also, there will be a Hokuriku Summer Sake Festival in Osaka on August 2nd and 3rd 😁 Please drop by 🙏.

Toyama Ekichu BAR Hokuriku Summer Sake Festival 2025⑦ Seimasa "Ryoujimi Soukai Slightly Nigori" Ikao Taisetsu Rice used: Yuyamanishiki produced in Nanto City, Toyama Polishing ratio 60 Alcohol 15%. This is a dry, hardy sake. It is refreshing and goes well with summer.

Toyama Ekichu BAR - Hokuriku Summer Sake Festival 2025⑤ Yoshinotomo Yoshinotomo Junmai Usukumo Rice used: Gohyakumangoku produced in Toyama Polishing ratio 65 Alcohol content: 14%. Next up was from Toyama Prefecture. The brewer poured it for us. It looks slow but it is light sweet and refreshing. This is delicious!

Toyama Ekichu BAR Hokuriku Summer Sake Festival 2025④ Tengu Mai Summer Sake Junmai Daiginjyo Tengumai Summer Sake Junmai Daiginjo Rice polishing ratio 50%. Alcohol content 16%. As expected from the Kurumata Shuzo brewery, this sake is not only light because it is a summer sake, but also has a light but drinkable taste.

Toyama Ekichu BAR Hokuriku Summer Sake Festival 2025① Oku-Echizen Summer Junmai-shu Alcohol 15%. I had a quick drink at the event in Toyama Station on my way home from work. One glass is 250 yen, two glasses are 400 yen. This time, I visited three prefectures in the Hokuriku region. First, from Fukui. Wholesaler recommended this summer sake. It is a sake from Ono City. It is relatively light, but slightly dry. I wonder if this is enough for summer sake🙆.

Taisetsukei Dry Junmai Activated Light Nigori Nama Shu 720ml Rice:Miyamanishiki Rice polishing ratio: 59 Alcohol content: 14 Hot days continue 🫠. Great snowy valley suitable for summer! We took it to Mr. Mizukami and opened the bottle immediately. Since it was so hot, we opened it in a glass we got at the brewery's store. I heard it was made in a thermal tank for summer. It is low in alcohol, but it is slightly effervescent, chili, and shuffling. Lunch was miso ramen at Marimo, which I hadn't had in a very long time. It was 920 yen.
