At home. This is the third sake we were served at the sake tasting party. My first Nanbu Bijin. How can a sake from Iwate be called Nanbu? According to Wikipedia, it's because the location of the brewery was part of the Nanbu domain (Nanbu region) in the Edo period. My impression is that the alcohol is not strong, but the aroma is a bit characteristic. It's not fruity or grainy... I regret my lack of tasting ability and vocabulary. On the palate, the sweetness spreads, and the mouthfeel is smooth and the throat feels clear or light. It is a historical sake and I thought it would be heavier, but it was very easy to drink.

It is a gift from Niigata 🙏. Yukichubai is a classic light and dry wine. but this one seems to be a seasonal summer sake. It is a seasonal summer sake with a refreshing taste🎶. Back in the day, Niigata's Sanbai was an extremely hard-to-find brand. I often visited Niigata Takata on business and was often presented with it. At the time, I had no interest in sake at all and almost never went through with it. Now, in 2021, Koshino-Kanbai is easily available at Aeon. Mine-no-Hakubai is also often seen as Hishiko at local liquor stores. However, Yukinubai is not so easy to find in my hometown. So, I got it on a business trip to Joetsu. I paired it with a taste of spring, firefly squid and broccoli with olive oil. It has a moderate aroma of cemedine or banana. It is sweet. It harmonizes with the sweetness and bitterness of firefly squid and broccoli. Lastly, there is a final bitter taste that is refreshing and delicious in the mouth!

Sasanogawa Junmai 58% 15%, 720ml, 1430 yen It is labeled Junmai but is 58% polished. The acidity is strong. This is what orthodox acidity is supposed to taste like. After the acidity comes an edgy dryness like a horse coming from behind. However, there seems to be some unique peculiarities, and depending on the day you drink it, it may bother you a little. Sasanokawa 35-year old sake, Junmai 60% 17%, 500ml, 5000 yen We went to a brewery in Koriyama, Fukushima Prefecture. It was a beautifully renovated and stylish space. There was a sign that said "Milan Sake Challenge", a double gold medal winner, which I don't know what it means. The sake was a dark color, almost black. It is rare to see such a color. It does not have the strong smell of old wine and does not have a bad smell. It is a very thick and thick sake, almost like Shaoxing sake. It has a very deep taste and is quite delicious. I would like to have a cup of sake while listening to Akari Machi's "My Birthplace is Koriyama". When I thought about what I was doing 35 years ago, all I could think of was ping pong dash.
