Alcohol content: 19%. Sake meter: +20 or higher Recommended on the rocks. Fukushima's driest sake It is very dry and comes on the palate with a thump from the moment you drink it! The spiciness lingers in the mouth and the alcohol leaves the nose. I drank it with oden. The gentle taste and the crisp sake went well together again.

☀️ The 8th SAKE festival in Yurakucho. They use a device that freezes the product as soon as it is squeezed. The name of the machine is liquid freezing machine "Frozen sleep" 💤. I heard they also use it for Otter Festival and Toyo Bijin 🤔. It's sake 🍶. It is nigori, so the flavor of rice is strong. But it's milder than other nigori so it's easy to drink 😊. I didn't understand the greatness of frozen sleep.... I might have to compare the non-frozen version to find out 😆. I wish it would be more popular 🤗

The aroma is clean and dry, and the taste is strong! I think it is better to drink it lukewarm because it has more sweetness and umami. But I prefer it cold because the umami is stronger when drunk cold. I usually drink a lot of dry sake, so maybe it feels a little sweet? 1.8L 15% (15%)

The 8th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower⑬. Sasanokawa" booth in Fukushima Prefecture. According to our preliminary research, YAMAZAKURA whisky is also produced at the Azumi distillery, and part of the original Ichiro's Malt venture whisky was stored at the Sasanokawa Brewery. It won the gold medal in the premium junmai category at the Wineglass Delicious Sake Awards 2024. Fukunoka Junmai Ginjo "Fu Shunka Shuzumolt Junmai Nigori Nama-shu Yamazakura Special Junmai I was going to order YAMAZAKURA whiskey, but there was also YAMAZAKURA sake 💦. It has a smooth and spicy taste. Fukunoka Junmai Ginjo Fu Fruity yet smoky, I thought it was a little different while drinking it. Shunkou Shuhou Daiginjyo Nama Genjyu A super-quick frozen sake. Fruity, sweet, and refreshing. It's really good! The price for 300ml is about the same as a regular 4-pack... Shunkou Shuzoku Junmai Nigori Nama Nama Sake. There is the order in which we drank it, but it was not so great as I preferred the Daiginjo because it was more refreshing instead of nigori and I liked the Daiginjo better. No pictures. I borrowed most of bouken's photos this time 💦.

At an event held at Keihan Department Store, I was told by a Hakubotan sales person about stores that sold the frozen sake, so I went to buy some 😅I found only Sasanogawa and Kikusui in Kochi and bought some to try out. I bought it to try it 😅 It is a sake frozen in its entire bottle and sold in the freezer at the store. I dissolved it in running water and it was ready to drink. I was surprised at how strong and active it was 😳. It's dry and spicy, but also has a trace of sweetness. But I'm a little concerned about the strong alcohol taste. The one I had at the Japanese sake festival was warm, but I think it tastes better when it's perfectly chilled. I think it's a good experiment, but it's rather expensive because of the special equipment used 🤔. I've seen many products that cost over 1000 yen for 300ml. The Sasanogawa and Kikusui I bought this time were cheap, probably because they were getting rid of their stock 😊. They were sold at a Japanese sake festival, but I wonder if it's possible to keep them frozen and sell them at an outdoor event? It seems that refreezing is prohibited because of the possibility of breaking the bottles.

The 8th Japanese Sake Festival at Osaka Bay Tower ⑬ The Sasanogawa Sake Brewery is not very familiar to me. It seems to be a brewery associated with Ichiro's Malt. See wikipedia if you are interested. I drank Yamazakura Special Junmai Polishing ratio 58%, Yume no Kou, Utsukushima Yume Yeast Slightly spicy and refreshing Fukunoka Junmai Ginjo Fu Polishing ratio 58%. Smoky. A little bitter. Shunkoshu Shuhou Daiginjo-Nama-genshu Polishing ratio 40% Yamadanishiki from Hyogo Prefecture Nama-nazake (raw sake) that needs to be frozen. Sweet and fruity and delicious. Shunkoshu Junmai Nigori Nama-zake No photo. This one was purchased before the Japanese Sake festival and will be posted separately.

The 8th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower (・ω・`) Sasanokawa was suitable for me and I got three kinds Fukushima Ichiharakuchi Ichii The taste is clear from the very first sip! The dry spiciness is also quite good, but the umami is more noticeable! Junmai Ginjo Fu Very soft and fluffy with a sweetness derived from the rice. Excellent when heated. Special Junmai Yamazakura Very mild and soft, with a warming taste! I can't wait to see how good it tastes warmed up in winter!
