I've had Kanazawa-ya from the same brewery at an outing, but this is my first time drinking it. I had never heard of rice called "Takaneminori" before. It has a fresh aroma with a hint of cemedine. Back in the day, Niigata's Sanbai was an extremely hard-to-find brand. I often visited Niigata Takata on business and was often presented with it. At the time, I had no interest in sake at all and almost never went through with it. Now, in 2021, Koshino-Kanbai is easily available at Aeon. Mine-no-Hakubai is also often seen as Hishiko at local liquor stores. However, Yukinubai is not so easy to find in my hometown. So, I got it on a business trip to Joetsu. I paired it with a taste of spring, firefly squid and broccoli with olive oil. It has a moderate aroma of cemedine or banana. It is sweet. It harmonizes with the sweetness and bitterness of firefly squid and broccoli. Lastly, there is a final bitter taste that is refreshing and delicious in the mouth!
