Last sake I bought last year as a Kumamoto souvenir. If I have a chance to visit Kumamoto again, I would like to visit Aso and Kikuchi area 😌. When opened and poured, it has a sweet aroma like sugar and sugarcane. The mouthfeel is crisp and immediately afterwards has the plumpness of rice plus the sweet and spicy taste of brewer's alcohol. The flavor is stable from start to finish, with a delicious standard taste! The unadorned taste is a perfect accompaniment to a meal 👍. I would like to visit 4 unexplored prefectures (Kochi, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, Okinawa), but there are many places I would like to revisit. 🗺️

Hakone Drink Comparison Set (2) On March 1, after a year-long event, I went on a trip to Hakone as a way of consolation! The local sake was served to compare with Japanese kaiseki. It was my first time to try Hakonezan! This is the spiciest sake in the group. It is a dry ginjo-shu as you might imagine, but it is moderately rich and very good as a mid-meal drink. Of course, it goes well with ingredients as they are, but it also goes well with dishes that have been added, such as those using dashi (Japanese soup stock)!

Hakone Drink Comparison Set (3) On March 1, after a year-long event, I went on a trip to Hakone as a way of consolation! The local sake was served to compare with Japanese kaiseki. Is Hakone Ginjo the name of the brand? However, I am not sure because the name does not come up at all when I looked it up on Google... I haven't had a fire-brewed ginjo-shu in a long time. The ginjo aroma is pleasant. It has an elegant aroma and sharpness, and is the smoothest dry sake of them all. It is very good as a food sake for Japanese food, and goes well with white fish and vegetables. It is also good with sashimi!

We bought it at Shiramizu Sake Shop in Takaramachi, Kasuga City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The owner was very kind and explained a lot about sake, and when I told him I prefer fruity sake, he recommended this sake. Moderate gassiness Slight pineapple and rice malt overtones The same full aroma, firm rice flavor, and mild sweetness as the topping, along with a small amount of citrus-like acidity, spread out with a pizzazz, and are quickly quenched by the slight spiciness and assertive bitterness of the alcohol. For a junmai daiginjo, the aroma is subdued, and the umami and richness of the rice can be felt, giving the sake a solid impression. It goes well with meals and is also delicious on its own. Ikebukuro with friends on Wednesday. It was not an all-you-can-drink party. Sake was my friend's choice as we sunk into the sake swamp. It was my first Hakuba Nishiki. Nice choice. It tasted like it would be ranked high in the Nigorin picks. It was fresh, fruity, sweet and refreshing. The upper half of the label is European and the lower half is Japanese, which gives it a Showa-era feel.
