I tasted it during the New Year holidays. I thought it was arabashiri, but the staff mistakenly put shiboritate in it 🤣. It was fresh and easy to drink even though it had been fired once.

Today, following yesterday's Aizan drinking event, I went to the Osaka Bay Tower's Japanese sake festival event 😀. I was informed in advance by bouken-san that there was a sake that Saku-san usually does not have, so I made a toast with his wife with that sake 😇. The sake was even clearer and fruity than Saku's usual sake, and we were very satisfied from the start 😀. During the live taiko performance by three women, my wife and I, who are both learning taiko, were overwhelmed by their amazing performance 😇. We were able to compare over 130 different types of sake, but my favorite was from Yamazaru, a brewery located in Asa, Yamaguchi Prefecture 😇. From the aroma to the mouthfeel, it was right up my alley👍! I had a chance to talk to the brewer and asked him about the stores in the Kansai area that carry it.

Junmai Ginjo🍶Aged Sake✨Snow❄️☃️ Aged sake, light yellow in color. Cold sake, matured, Daruma Masamune-like. Not heavy, warmed to 60 degrees. Soft around the edges. Mellow. ☺️ It's still a sake for warming up. I served it with scallop sashimi sent from my relatives in Hokkaido 😋The scallops were huge and delicious💕. Purchased at Iida Sake Shop @ Shiki.

Monsoon with an attractive label. Somehow I have the impression that Tamakae is not my favorite, but I bought it because sake really varies and I can't decide what I like or dislike based on a little experience. It is more refreshing than the previous Monsoon I drank. It's not as cloudy, so it's less kijoshu-like, but I personally prefer it. It has none of the bitterness or old dryness that I have come to associate with Tamakae. I guess the taste of sake can be completely different depending on what characteristics of the rice are brought out and how and where the sake is made. Monsoon is a sake I would like to drink regularly.

I've always been curious about it because I often see it at Takashimaya, but this is my first time to drink it. The rice is Asahi rice and Yamadanishiki. It is fresh and has a strong sweet flavor, but the aroma and taste are a bit unique. I also feel a bit of hardness. I'll give it some more time and see how it goes. Apple and honey-like sweetness with a sense of thickening.

It is slightly dry and has a nice sharpness so you won't get tired of drinking it 🤔It is a delicious sake, almost like a first squeezed raw sake 😚.

I received a bottle of sake from Sogen Sake Brewery, which was severely damaged by the Noto Peninsula earthquake 😀 I drink this sake often and have memories of going to the brewery last year to buy Kiri sake 😥 I hope they will resume sake production soon. Next was a Hiroshima sake called HANAHATO. It is a junmai ginjo made from 100% Senbon-Nishiki. The label is a rabbit, the Chinese zodiac sign for the New Year. Actually, this and the next brand were given to me by another business partner. We met next to each other at a meeting, drank together at the dinner table, talked about sake, and had a great time. We are also regular customers of Gin no Sake Kibune, and we receive items purchased from there every time we visit. m(_ _)m The taste is soft and sweet. The taste is soft sweetness with a hint of umami on top. It is a beautiful tasting food sake. Everyone drank it with smiling faces. It was delicious! (^O^)

Junmai nama-shu YAMADANISHIKI 90 Rice polishing ratio 90%❗️ This is the challenge sake of Michiko Urasato, the female toji of Yui. Yamada Nishiki is brewed at 90% polishing ratio without polishing. The taste of the rice is rich and intense❗️, but there is a light fizzy feeling. There is also a little bit of orage mixed in. This is why it is milder and softer in the mouth than I expected. The aftertaste is refreshing. It's amazing. Michiko Urasato, Toji 💡. I had it with ginger yaki, and it was delicious. The sake and side dishes go well together😆. I've heard that if you let it sit for a few days, you'll get a different taste of the rice, so I stopped at halfway today. I heard it's also good at different temperatures.

I bought some fire-activated nigori at the co-op because it looked interesting... so much moromi... !!!!! I looked it up and found that there is also active nigoromi... Sorry I only have a picture of it after mixing! I know the nigori in Niidashizenshuu and the nigori in this season's Sasasamune have a lot of moromi, but this is probably even better than that! The impact is amazing! Isn't it about 70-80% of the bottle? What is this? When you drink it... it's thick! As you can see, the rice flavor is coming forward. There is a slight alcohol taste, but it also has a banana smoothie-like flavor that is not too classic, making it easy to drink. It is thick, but if you cool it down and drink it, it is surprisingly easy to drink. In any case, it is quite strong, so it would be good with Chinese dishes with strong flavors. It would be better with Chinese food that has a strong flavor, such as stewed eggplant, grilled fish, or simmered dishes, as the richness of the sake would drown it out. I think I'll try it with Bean-curd soup with Bean-curd soup with Bean-curd sauce. LOL! Thankfully, it is fire-roasted, so you can drink it slowly and leisurely over several days. It is said to be an irregular sake. The toji-san overfilled it with 4-stage rice or something😅. The "Raku" on the label represents the over-filled rice, and the blue color represents the pale face of the toji-san. Gutsy, but quite sweet and sour. It is much sweeter than other Raku no sei I've had, but I also feel its character. The rice is from the terraced rice fields of Hida. I can't seem to name the rice, but I wonder if it is Hidahomare or some other rice that is only available in Gifu.
