The 5th Sagajo Shoten Presents at the 5th Bishushu Raku Kushan Shokai 😃. We were honored to have the opportunity to visit the Umaue Sake Brewery in Hiroshima ❗It's a rare sake to drink, and we had to have another one 😉. So this one is made with Ginpu! Purchased in January at Kinase, a local sake brewery in Mito. I chose this brand for the Ibaraki local sake category. I was really torn between Watanabune and this one, which I had never had before. When I checked the aroma, I found a sour, vinegar-like smell... Looking at the label, we discovered that it had been bottled more than half a year. I didn't realize how much a draft sake deteriorates after half a year, even if the bottle is unopened... The taste is also undeniably deteriorated, but it is drinkable without any problems. It has a slight melon-like flavor with almost no sweetness. It is easy to drink as it is refreshing and sharp. I drank it much more smoothly. There is no doubt that the original is delicious. I want to revisit Matsumori for this...! But I didn't know it smelled like this. I learned a lot.

The rice used is Senbonishiki from Kumano in Hiroshima Prefecture. This brand is probably the first. To be honest, I didn't know about it. The person of the shop said "It comes in after two years". We opened a bottle of Daikoku that we bought today at Kado-ya Sake Shop. It is said that this sake is brewed with 100% Yamada Nishiki harvested in a special area of Hyogo Prefecture. It's rich and dry. The rich taste in the mouth and the long lingering spiciness are exquisite. I think it's a very cost effective sake.

This was the first time I drank Daikoku Masamune at home. I bought it at the direct sales counter of the brewery. The aroma is mild, but the taste is fresh and fruity. It was really good even when it was heated. The reinforced concrete brewery was demolished due to old age, and a prefabricated direct sales store was built on the site, with the rest of the land used for a convenience store and Marugame Seimen noodles. The rest of the land is used for convenience stores, Marugame Seimen noodles, etc. Now they are brewing in a rented part of Hakutsuru Brewery. At the time of the Great Hanshin Earthquake, the wooden warehouse collapsed, and the site of the warehouse was turned into an apartment building, which was named Daikoku Royal Heights.
