Arriving at the station nearest to the Biwako Hotel where the event was held, I had some time to kill so I went to a ramen restaurant produced by Minoru Sano, who is known as the devil of ingredients in the ramen industry, to get some food for my stomach. After the event, I visited a liquor store in Kusatsu and told them I went to a Shiga sake event in Otsu, and the owner of the store was there too. According to the information from the liquor store, a liquor store that had Suzu Masamune in stock had given it to him for the event. He said that the sake was well preserved and had been aged for about 5 years.

This is the 38th sake brewery in Gifu Prefecture. This is one of the main brands of the Sugihara Sake Brewery in Ono-cho, Ibi-gun, which is famous for being the smallest sake brewery in Japan. It is sold at Tomikuya, the brewery's direct sales store, along with sakekasu (sake lees). It is also sold at a nearby roadside station in Ono-cho. The aroma is strawberry-like. It is filtered, but not excessively, so there is some lees floating on the surface. The palate has a weak acidity and the sweetness of the rice comes out well. It is a delicious sake with a long lingering aftertaste. Sugihara Shuzo is famous for its sake, but the brewery does not sell it, and there are only two stores in Gifu Prefecture that carry it, both by lottery, so getting it is a matter of luck. I would like to try it sometime.

Next was a Hiroshima sake called HANAHATO. It is a junmai ginjo made from 100% Senbon-Nishiki. The label is a rabbit, the Chinese zodiac sign for the New Year.
