Another bottle was opened at the Kizuna Festival. Golden crystal that saw the light of day at Izakaya Shinkansen. Gold Crystal label expressed with a characteristic figure. It is one of my personal favorite labels. The top-tasting aroma has a very classical sake flavor. The mouthfeel has a light umami from a hint of sweetness. First contact is lighter than expected. The finish is again full of sake-like aftertaste, with a mild acidity and a strong bitterness. I had imagined it to be a more mellow and stand-alone sake, but it is considered to be a high performance food sake. During the festival, I served it with tempura and dried scallops that I bought and brought with me, and it was quite good! Thanks for the food!

Tonight I'm having this one 🍶. I got this on my trip to Fukushima last month! I've been wanting to drink this since I saw it on Izakaya Shinkansen 🍶✨. They are the only sake brewery in Fukushima city😃. Mellow, refreshing, oicy❕. The aroma is slightly fluffy 💠. Slightly crisp but still mild 🌸🍶✨. This is a great one ❕. I'm glad I found you 😆. I also love the fukushima saké💗. It's very tasty.

I bought a small bottle of Kikusui Shuzo at a nearby convenience store 🥂. It was labeled as a ginjo-shu, but the aroma was subdued and it was a delicious regular sake with just the right amount of umami 😋.

Hana-Shume," a sake from a revived brewery in Saiki City, Oita Prefecture, which was featured on Tokoro-san's "Laughing at You" last fall. We were lucky enough to get an assortment set (❓trial set) of 3 sake for souvenirs, so we compared them! Here is the next one! Hanashoumi Special Junmai (orange label) The aroma is also slightly citrus 🍊. On the palate, the four tastes of sweetness, umami, bitterness and acidity are beautifully balanced. At Izakaya It has a gorgeous ginjo aroma and is fruity. It has a nice lingering finish with just the right amount of umami and acidity. Rice: Hitomebore produced in Gunma Prefecture

The last area where we could see the Chichibu Mountains, Mount Asama, Mount Haruna, Mount Akagi (and the snow-capped Tanigawa Mountains in the background) was truly scenic. It was a great way to end my trip to Gunma, and I couldn't resist eating some Jyoshu barley pork cutlets with a side of the view! Lastly, in honor of the menchikatsu, we had "Kanto no Hana" (flower of Kanto), which goes well with meat. Banana and tropical fruit aroma. The palate has a unique touch of lactic acid beverage-type softness and sweet-sourness. However, it is not clingy and gradually becomes clearer, giving it a sense of balance that makes it suitable for eating. It was a beautiful taste, not unlike the earlier "Kwangto"! We will visit again next year with Gunma fever. 🙂‍↕️

In the latter half, the sourness comes from the umami. Then it finishes with a kick. After swallowing, the chest is chilled. If you combine it with pear Hmm? It was a bit salty and sour! When I combined it with Satoya's "Tamayura"... It's so good 😘! I loved this pairing 💕 By the way, "Tamayura" is... Ikebukuro with friends on Wednesday. It was not an all-you-can-drink party. Sake was my friend's choice as we sunk into the sake swamp. It was my first Hakuba Nishiki. Nice choice. It tasted like it would be ranked high in the Nigorin picks. It was fresh, fruity, sweet and refreshing. The upper half of the label is European and the lower half is Japanese, which gives it a Showa-era feel.
