National Sake Fair 2025 in Osaka_70 Iwate Prefecture booth ⑤. Fukurai Shuzo is located in Kuji City. There is also a Raifuku Sake Brewery in Ibaraki Prefecture, so it looks like a mix-up. ◉Fukurai Special Junmai Fukurai is made from Ginotome sake rice. It has a soft mouthfeel, but the taste is rich and dark with a sweet umami flavor that is quite to my liking. The brewery is located in Kuji City, famous for being the location for NHK's morning TV series "Amachan".

National Sake Fair 2025 part65 Iwate Prefecture⑤Iwate Prefecture Fukurai-san in Kuji City I've seen posts of people drinking it on SNS, but I haven't seen this brand in Kansai. Polishing ratio 60%, Gingotome, 15%, Sake degree +2, Acidity 1.5 Giovanni's research yeast, 1411 yen Orthodox and light. Slightly sweet and full-bodied. Slightly classic 🤔.

☀️ Masamune hunters go today🍶. Today we visited the Tottori & Okayama Antenna Shops, a place of relaxation for Masamune hunters 📡. As soon as I arrived there, I started looking for Masamune and found it 🤩. It's sake 🍶. It has a crisp, Hakka-like aroma. It is also very refreshing on the throat. The umami of the rice is subdued, and then there is a subdued sweetness and an equally subdued acidity. Overall, it has a light and simple taste 😙. It is probably best suited as a food sake 🍶. The Hakka flavor, combined with the oiliness of the food, seems to help the oil from the food to be washed away quickly 😁. Nice Masamune👍

The 800 check-in is the H27BY (2015 brewing year) Sanko Masamune from which Toji Takagaki retired 😆. We were lucky to get it 😊. This is the only sake from Mr. Takagaki but we are holding Takagaki festival 😅🍶. When opened in the fridge, it smells slightly like a soy sauce warehouse (there was a soy sauce warehouse in my neighborhood when I was a kid) or Shaoxing sake. It's a dry and light sake when cold. Sanko is still a warmed sake, so I'd recommend heating it up 🍶. The top aroma is the aromatic aroma of a freshly heated sake. When heated, it does not have a matured aroma. In the mouth, you first feel sharp acidity and spiciness. The acidity is not as strong as that of Sanko Tenpyo's Namahashi or Yamahai, but it is quite good. There is a slight sweetness and a beautiful umami that does not make you feel the rice polishing ratio of 72%. This is a perfect food sake 🍶😊. I don't know if this is the original taste since it is an old sake, but it was deeply delicious 😌. After retiring, he returned to farm near his hometown, but unfortunately, he died in a field accident last year 🥲. I learned of his death when I saw a relative of his on Instagram late last May with a picture of H27BY "Katsumasa" to inform me of his passing. A toast to Mr. Katsumasa Takagaki 😌🍶. The fourth picture is a sake from the brewery where Mr. Takagaki worked in the past.

The purpose of my visit to Kawanishi Sake Sales was this. Although it is not written on the label, the sake was labeled as unfiltered raw sake at the store. Unlike the label, it is fruity and modern. Today is Valentine's Day!👩❤️👨 This Sake paired very well with the filet mignon I prepared for my wife. There is a full mouth feel with umami. There is a light smoke flavor and wood. The aftertaste is short.
Cowboy bought me this as a souvenir from Niigata! Yay! Yamahai is great! The design is cool too! It's crisp and mellow, and I drank a bottle so fast... I want to drink it again!

To compete with them with seafood, We consulted with them in advance about "Uchiwa Shrimp" caught in Hirado, Nagasaki. Another one this time. It is Takatsugawa by Fusozuru. It is from Shimane Prefecture. I saw Hiraccio-san drinking it and longed for it 🙌. First at room temperature. The color is a solid yellow. The aroma is mildly savory with a hint of maturity. It smells like caramel, soy sauce, and cream cheese. The mouthfeel is gentle. The palate is drowned in the complex flavor of aged rice with a moderate acidity. When heated up, it becomes smoother and more balanced, and you can just keep on drinking it. It has a relaxing and soothing taste. When tasted with a thick Shigaraki-ware sake cup, the warmth of the clay makes it taste even better. The warmth of the clay makes it even softer and happier 💕. Aizu girl and the Takatsu River I will relax my body and soul in the late winter. What a good evening drink 😊.

Purchased at Vinos Yamazaki in Kyoto after buying Daina at a liquor store in Saiin After this, I went back to the liquor store on the 2nd floor of the Yaichi main building and to Takimoto - Isetan 😊. I really wanted the Vinos limited edition Isoboast, but the date was a year ago, so I avoided it💦. It's also February 24 😅. I thought about how to read "kunika", "kokka", etc... but when I looked it up, it's "kokkou". Reminds me of Cocco for my generation 🤔. Drink at room temperature. It's lightly colored. It's been almost a year, but there's no sense of aging. It has a classical flavor and a little lactic acidity, but it's still light and refreshing. I'd like to try some of their raw sake, though I didn't have any this time. Like Isobojiman, I think Shizuoka sake is a good choice for me 🤔. I was saddened to hear that this brewery is already out of business 😿.
