The first one is Gecko.
When I visited Tokyo in September, I went to Higashimurayama Station, the nearest station to the brewery, but it was pouring so hard that I gave up going to the tasting.
I only saw the bronze statue of Ken Shimura in front of the station and left...
I had a chance for revenge!
All Hachitan-Nishiki produced in Hiroshima Prefecture is used!
It's like a flagship of Hanahayo and Jikin, so expectations are high❣️.
Fruity aroma with a hint of pear.

A special junmai sake (unfiltered and unfiltered) made with Kyokai No. 8 yeast (currently not for sale) and Toyobai rice, which was released on August 8.
It is characterized by its pineapple-like 🍍 sweet, tart, juicy, and fruity taste.

A special junmai sake (non-filtered, unfiltered sake) made with Kyokai No. 7 yeast (Masumi brewery) and Toyobai rice, released on 7/7.
There is actually a Koubo No. 6 released on 6/6 using Kyokai No. 6 yeast (Shinmasumi warehouse), but we didn't have it 💦.

First up is the Junmai Ginjo Gekushu!
We were lucky enough to come across a sake that was released only in September ✌️.
Made from Toyobai rice and polished to 55%, this sake is characterized by its robust bitterness and umami!
Coincidentally, this day marked the 2nd anniversary of Comrade Manachie's sakewa registration ㊗️.
Not that we were celebrating, but we were having a comparison of our comrade's favorite Aomori sake...

Jikin Junmai Ginjo Aizan Comparison of different BY
Next is BY3
The basic taste composition is the same as that of BY2
The aroma is banana and juicy.
A perfect balance of sweetness, sweetness, and delayed bitterness and acidity.
As expected of Jikin!
However, BY3 is fresher, probably due to the difference in aging period of 1 year.

The venue was "Tempura Takasan" which we visited in May.
A restaurant where you can enjoy Japanese cuisine including freshly fried crispy tempura and Japanese sake.
The showcase is filled with premium and rare sake.
You can freely combine and compare 3 different sakes for a flat rate.
The first one was a comparison of the different BY's of Jikkomaiyama and the Halloween label (coming next week).
I should have gone for the Jikin first, but I was drawn to this one because of the fairy-tale label 😊.

This was the first time I drank this color of Gakki, but it was delicious as always! (I can't really tell the difference lol)
The Ai-no-Sato is from the brewery in Hanayo, and it seems to be the kind that the locals drink. Is it like Iichiko? (I don't know the difference).
