Hankyu Brewery Festival (11) Shoroku Shuzo rarely comes to events in the Kansai region. They brought a lot of sake. I have been following them on Instagram for quite some time, and it seemed that the people inside the brewery were also there, but they were not at this time 😥. The sake we tasted was Ancient Evening Palace Autumn Six Roots? No.3 Wild Yeast Junmai Ginjo 윮娟 Junmai Happo Akita Sake Komachi Nama Junmai Ginjo Aizan Genshu Junmai Daiginjo Emerald Rokune? Jusui-fujikomi Junmai Daiginjo Gin Karasu Junmai Daiginjyo Hanasoui I remember Gin Karasu-boshi was delicious and juicy. I was so embarrassed that I almost read it as "Karasu-boshi" 😅There is a junior high school in Kobe called Eboshi... They were sold out of Jusui Shikkomi, but I was allowed to taste it. I bought a bottle of Junmai Happo Akita Sake Komachi Nama.

Hankyu Brewery Festival (9) Until a few years ago, Ueda Sake Brewery was almost exclusively a direct seller. Now, perhaps due to the Corona disaster, they are coming to department stores. We tasted Bodhi Hashiroshi Junmai Junmai Unfiltered Nama Sake (no photo) Junmai Daiginjo-genshu classic The Bodai Hashiro is rich and sweet, with an astringency or complexity at the end. It seems to be suitable for warming up. The unfiltered raw sake I drank at home in the past had a strong chemical taste and I didn't like it, but this one was delicious. The Junmai Daiginjo Classic was similar to Sudo Honke's Kurogane, perhaps due to the traditional production method. I think I heard that only Hankyu carries Junmai Daiginjo Classic. I think Mr. Neemuchi got tangled up with a troublesome person here😅.

Hankyu Brewery Festival 8 Chiyonen Sake Brewery in Kumamoto. Three of us came together, so the brewery asked us if we were doing sake circles. 🤣. It's too much trouble to explain the details, so I just said something like that 😅. I answered 😅. We tasted Higo Specialty Red Sake Junmai Daiginjo with Stars and Cats Now available in Sake Daiginjo Excel Junmai Ginjo Kumamoto Shinriki Junmai Daiginjo Shuubai The red sake is so rich and sweet that you may think it is mirin (sweet sake). Akashu is so sweet that you would think it is mirin. Hoshi to Neko is surprisingly dry. Daiginjo Excel is fruity and my favorite! My memory is getting fuzzier and fuzzier...

The Fukuro Shibori is a little spicy. Junmai Ginjo has a gentle taste. I bought the Yume No Naka Here. I forgot to drink nigori sake.

Hankyu Brewery Festival (6) This was the first appearance of Sudoh Honke. He said he hoped this would be a good opportunity to have Hankyu handle their products. He said that although it is not familiar in the Kansai region, Takimoto and Shimada Sake Shop in Osaka carry it. He said that since the Corona disaster, they have not been sold in Kansai for the most part. The president's English pronunciation was very good, as he is mainly an exporter 🤣 He even dared to say "empty" again in English. The oldest existing brewery. The first brewery to produce sake. The first brewery to produce sparkling sake. The image of the first brewery to produce sparkling sake. We tasted the following Kasumiyama Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Namaizu Kasumiyama Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Namaizu Yukinomai Sparkling Unfiltered Nama-zake Gonohonomoto Junmai Daiginjo Namaisho Namaisho Gonohomyo Junmai Daiginjo Kurokin Unfiltered Nama-zake Gonohonomoto Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Nama-zake Gonohonomoto Junmai Daiginjyo Hyokyuu-aged Autumn Yamatohana Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Nama-zake The Kurogane tasted like chocolate and had a sense of maturity, but the brewer said it had not been aged. The taste of the kamishimo is different from that of other kamishimo, but this seems to be the original kamishimo. Sparkling tastes like pear. Not enough words 🤣.

I spent the most time there and was able to hear many surprising stories. We met up with Aladdin here. I was interested in the sparkling wine, but it was too expensive, so I bought a bottle of Yamatohana Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Namaizu, which I thought was the closest to my favorite.

Hankyu Brewery Festival (5) Akita Seishu. Kariho and Dewatsuru are two different breweries with two different toji (master brewers). The Kariho and Dewatsuru breweries seem to be separate companies. The sales company is called Akita Seishu. The quality of sake is also different because of the different water system. I tasted the following Kariho Junmai Ginjo Kingfisher Label Kariho Junmai Mature Dry 80 Dewatsuru Autumn Agari Kingfisher label is clear and light. Dewatsuru is juicy sweet and my favorite. I might buy it if I see it somewhere. My impression so far is that I prefer Dewazuru because it is sweeter and more delicious. I ran into Mr. pyonpyon here. I'm sorry I didn't greet him properly because I was with a friend and I was nervous 😓.

Hankyu Brewery Festival ④ This is my personal favorite brewery, but I visit Hankyu several times a year and the only distributor in Kansai is Umemoto Sake Shop in Nishinakajima-Minamikata, so I have not been able to drink it.... There must be very few distributors nationwide. I tasted the following Junmai Ginjo Nama Shu 369 Junmai nigori sake Omboloyuki Urushinoh Daiginjo Shizukutori Chokai Honor I bought and drank 369 in the past, so I omitted it. Oboroyuki is sweet and I like it a lot. Urushinoh is said to be Hitomebore, which is a rice produced outside of the standard range. It has a good taste of rice and moderate sweetness. The acidity is impressive. Toward the end, there is a Sakura Masamune-like feeling of the sake, perhaps because it is made with No. 1 yeast. The Daiginjo was just as good as usual. The brewer seemed quiet and talked a lot. He seemed quiet and talked a lot. He reacted to my watch, and when I asked him about it, he said he was curious about the watches other people were wearing. His watch also had a unique look, but he said he didn't like watches.

Hankyu Brewery Festival (3) I was interested in this festival in the past, but there were so many people that I passed it up 🙄. I'm glad that I can go with Nemuchi-san 😊. It seems that the brewery has come back to life after a long dormancy. According to Nemuchi's information, it seems to be a group of "Sanin no Kura", but Sanin no Kura has two websites, the older one is listed but not the current site which is compatible with smartphones🤔. I guess they must be affiliated with Miyako Nishiki because their individual official websites have similar layouts. The old site seems to have stopped being updated around 2012, but I didn't realize they were grouped together that long ago 😳. It also lists the breweries that are now out of business. I wonder if they have been part of a brewery alliance for a long time, but recently, the parent company's intention to emphasize branding has come to the forefront. I tasted Noukouzake sign88 Kinjyu Dark Maple Junmai Daiginjyo Nama-no-Hara Sake Unexplored Oku-Shimane Yaoei 2021 Nama-Nagara Sake Unexplored Oku-Shimane Yaoei 2022 Nama-Nagara Sake Nokkozake sign88 has a strong rice flavor and is very drinkable. The Haikyo Oku-Shimane is made from different rice varieties in different years. I heard they made them differently. Both are sweet and delicious, but 2022 was sweeter and more to my liking. I bought the Junmai Daiginjo Nama Sake that gave me the best impression.

Hankyu Brewery Festival (2) I knew the name of the brewery from its civil rehabilitation a few years ago, but I didn't know the brand name Kamo Goyo. Naturally, I have never had it. According to Nemuchi-san's information, Tsuyama Beer is famous. There are many breweries that brew local beer, aren't there? The beers we tasted were Kamo Goyo Junmai Omachi Kamo Goyo Junmai Ginjo Kamo Goyo Junmai Ginjyo Nama Sake Kamo Gobo Daiginjo Dojibon-i Daiginjo To-bin-oi has a graceful, gorgeous, and sweet taste, and I realized that this class of sake is delicious. The junmai ginjo nama sake was good, but it was expensive, so I wanted something more affordable, so I bought a junmai omachi.

Hankyu Umeda Hankyu Brewery Festival (1) An hour after Nemuchi-san's arrival, we arrived at the venue. Nemuchi-san said he would be at Itano, so I met up with him here. Itano is a joint development between Motox, a wine importer, and Takai Sake Brewery. The brewer and a person from Motox were there. The concept of Itano is a food sake. The label has been changed to a design that suggests it was designed with exports in mind. The label was also the idea of Motox. The special junmai label was inspired by a balloon competition held in Ojiya City, where the brewery is located. Nemuchi-san asked if they were bringing any Tatomo and Takanoi. Nemuchi asked him if he was bringing Tatomo and Takanoi, to which he replied, "No, we are here as Motox this time.... We tasted the following Iyano Junmai Ginjo Iyano Junmai Daiginjo Snow Storage Genshu I thought both were the type of sake that goes well with meals. I hope they bring Tatomo next time 🤔.

I think it's rare to find unfiltered raw ginjo 🤔. Slightly sweet and nutty. It has a strong sweetness and umami. It's a good combination of modern and classic without feeling like it's been alkaloosoaked. If the label is a little more modern, it will sell well. After 10 days, it became bitter and hard to drink.

I visited the Hankyu Department Store to see what Nemuchi-san had said before. However, the warehouse staff was talking with customers all the time😅. Sales clerk? A sales clerk or a clerk at a department store? I tasted a ginjo and a junmai from this brewery. I thought the Junmai had more flavor, but the Ginjo had a more modern taste, as Nemuchi had mentioned before, so I bought the Ginjo. Usually, when I talk with other customers, many of them say "Thank you" when I buy something! but I didn't go through with it and kept talking to the same person 🤣. Maybe he is kind of peculiar?

The one I went to a liquor store I don't usually go to after a baseball game and drank after I got home. It tastes like Aizan, but is closer to a classic. It is spicy with a little sweetness. It tastes hotter than when I tasted it. It is spicy even if the temperature is changed. I think it is hard to drink by itself. When it gets close to room temperature, the sweetness comes out, but the spiciness and alcohol taste also become stronger.

Tasting at Hankyu Department Store on 6/3. Three breweries were tasted on this day at Hankyu Hanshin. Aoi Tenshita, a first-time visitor, said it was the first time for him to come to Hankyu. Aizan Unfiltered Nama Sake Omachi Unfiltered Nama Yamadanishiki Unfiltered Nama Sake Junmai Ginjo 55% Aizan We tasted these four types of sake. There was also Honorifuji in the draft but for some reason they didn't let us try it😅. All of the sake were very mild and tasted like Shizuoka sake to go along with a meal. The Junmai Ginjo 55% Aizan was sweet, but I didn't like the taste, so I didn't try it. After some hesitation, I bought the Aizan Unfiltered Nama Nama Sake. I heard that this sake was well received at the Japanese Sake Festival because of its cost performance of just under 1000 yen. The toji-san was also there, but he said he had to stay overnight in his car on the bullet train because of heavy rain😱Thanks for your hard work.... The price was 1980 yen at the store, but it's about 2300 yen at the official website. I wonder if they write the price including cool fee and box fee?

At the traveling SAKE in Hankyu Department Store. Nagaragawa, which I have seen at the Sake Brewer's Festival but have never had. Here is the list Long-aged Junmai Shichidan-shikkomi Junmai 1999 Junmai Ginjo EXPORT Haru no otozure, freshly pressed junmai Direct-filtered Junmai-Ginjo Unfiltered Nama-Shu The above four products were tasted. The only one I remember 😅 is the old 1999 sake. It is round and dark. I don't know if I like it or not, but I sometimes want to try old sake. I was in junior high school in 1999.... It's amazing to be able to drink that old sake. I'd like to try sake from the year I was born. I think Dharma Masamune used to offer sake by year. I'm going to try some of their straight-filtered unfiltered raw sake soon since my local liquor store just got it in stock. I think they have some kind of relationship with Nagaragawa and asked me to go to the venue and send it to them 🤣. I heard he asked them to send it to him 🤣. My time limit was approaching, so I parted ways with Nemuchi at Nagaragawa and left the venue. I guess I didn't drink Ona, Dewazakura, and Harada this time. Nemuchi-san must have conquered them all 😁. After that, we dropped by Hanshin department store for a tasting and were late for our appointment 😅.
