First time at Yoshinoya
Smells sweet.
Melon-y?
It's like a smooth drink.
Taste is light.
Bitter taste lingers in the upper part of the throat
When you taste it thoroughly
Tingling sensation on the tip of the tongue
The bitterness that lingers in the throat
The smell through the nose
Not so fruity
The smell of alcohol is not so fruity.
The bitter taste remains in the back of the throat at the end.
I don't think takowasa is a good choice for a snack.
I think it would go well with simmered dishes.
Today's sake is an unfiltered Junmai Daiginjo made with Miyamanishiki from Nishinomon near Zenkoji temple in Nagano❗️❗️
The aroma is fresh and fruity❗️As you take a sip, you get a mild texture on the tongue followed by a raw tingling sensation❗️and then a sharp numbness and a fruity sweet aroma that leaves your nose❗️A good sake for a mealtime drink❤️
Sweet and sour, delicious cold, room temperature 212100
Fruity but a little strong on the palate
Sake made from 100% Hitogochiki produced in Nagano Prefecture
I drank this sake at a buckwheat noodle restaurant on a business trip to Nagano. The moment it hit the palate, the aroma of rice spread to the mouth and the taste was mild and smooth. It was a delicious sake with a refreshing aftertaste.
[Even though it's all in one place! 😮]
Hiyoroshi from Nishinomon purchased at a sake brewery direct sales event at Shibuya Tokyu 🍁.
It is a hiyaoroshi from the nama-shu (raw sake) category, with a dense melon🍈-like top-fragrance.
It also has a bit of fizziness, and the dark sweetness like ripe banana🍌 combined with the spiciness of the aftertaste gives it a very punchy taste🥊.
The Hitogokochi sake I've had so far all gave me the impression of being refreshing, but this one is the exact opposite, with a rich sweetness 😄.
I paired it with sautéed cod with lots of butter, and it was a perfect marriage, just as I had hoped 🥰🥰🥰.
Resurrection - I'm back! I want to note things down so I don't forget!
(The app disappeared when I changed my phone 🫠)
Today we went to Gin no Mori in Kichijoji!
The first drink was Nishinomon (Nagano)!
I think it was my favorite out of the 3 glasses I had today.
