Purchased at a department store event, this is a local sake from Awa City, Tokushima Prefecture. The water used is said to be from the Yoshino River. It is a classic type of sweet sake with a delicious taste of rice. You can drink it with a gulp. 🙆‍♂️ lol

The third cup was Urachiehijin. It is a fruity sake with a sweeter taste and richer flavor than the first one from Yokoyama. The aftertaste was clean and refreshing, and I never got tired of drinking it 😆.

Next was Toichi. It is a clear nigori sake with a moderate sweetness, perfect for sushi. 🙆‍♂️ This sake also has a high level of quality!

Three Kyushu wines were compared at the Kintetsu Department Store event. The first one was Iki Yokoyama. I had heard from the owner of an izakaya that this year's Yokoyama was really good, so I wanted to try it at least once 🤔. A fruity, sweet and catchy one. It was delicious 😋.

Kozutsumi, a local sake from Tamba. The description says it is fruity, but when you drink it, you will find that it has a freshness with a strong rice flavor. It may also be delicious as a heated sake.

A little drink after work. Asakai from Iwate Prefecture, where I've been checking in a lot this month. It is a sake that has a strong rice flavor and a great sharpness. It makes me hot!

The last one was Niigata sake. I have had N-888 from the same brewery, but unlike N-888, this was a light and dry Niigata-style sake. It was a great sake to go with snacks.

Next up was a Kenrishi, which was actually a first for us. This sake has a strong rice flavor with a mellow spread. This is a sake that is best served warmed. I want to try it warmed next time.

Next was a Junmai Ginjo from Yasu. It is also a cup with a gentle and fruity taste that is typical of Fukushima. I had it with grilled crab with miso sauce, and it went very well with it.

The second glass was Tatsuzumi, another local sake from Aizu. It is a typical Fukushima sake with a gentle and clean taste. It doesn't feel too much like nigori sake 🤔. It was delicious too 😊.

We compared Fukushima sake at the SAKANA FES held at Ogimachi Park. The first one was Kunigon. A cup of sake with a freshness and umami characteristic of nama-shu. It was also very sharp and tasty!

Today we have a bottle of Sanzen Sakura from Kamikawa, Hokkaido. A slightly sweet, light, crisp, light and dry bottle 🍶. It was a fine bottle that I never get tired of drinking!

The second glass was a spring sake from Kurume's local brewery, Yamabusyu. It is not too sweet and has a light citrus flavor. 🙆‍♂️ The entrée was a pickled horse mackerel with a hint of spring, and it was delicious!

I didn't plan to open it for this date, but the timing happened to be right. Fukushima sake on March 11🍶. A slightly sweet, fruity, fresh bottle. It is a gentle sake. It has been 14 years since that day 🤔. I had it while thinking about Tohoku.

The last sake is from the Yuriage area of Natori City, which was severely damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake. This sake has a strong rice flavor with a refreshing aftertaste. The brewery was completely destroyed by the earthquake, but they started brewing sake in a temporary warehouse the following year and returned to the Yuriage area in 2019. Episodes like this make me want to support them 😊.
