It's my first baseball drink of the year ⚾This is my second time to watch the game (it was rained out once).
I bought it because I was curious about the brewer's yeast called Hanbei.
It's green and at first I thought it was a green tea high or something 😅.
It comes in a plastic bottle with a lid that can be used as a sake cup. It's perfect for a drinking cup 🚃.
It has a classic but gentle sweet taste with a stronger alcohol taste in the second half. I don't dislike it 😋.
After drinking a variety of sake cups at the baseball game, I thought that many of the major makers have a better taste for honjozo and regular sake with alcohol rather than junmai (pure rice).
Especially Hakusetsu and Kiku-Masamune.
I think Junmai is more hit or miss 🤔.
The game took a dramatic turn at the end!

It is a brilliant sake that was twice named Great Value Champion Sake at IWC 2019 and 2023 🍶.
I can feel a hint of a slightly sweet and fruity aroma, but I still don't feel much of the Uetatekoso.
Well, it's outdoors😅.
The texture is easy to get used to.
The sweetness like juice and fructose spreads quickly and lightly, and the flavor is clear and flat.
There is no acidity stimulation at all, just an accent that brings a sweet juice taste.
There is also a characteristic grain taste after the mid-palate. It is not that noticeable if you don't look for it.
It is more smooth and fruity than Kikumasakin, like a juice of about 10% fruit juice.
It seems to be easy to drink, even for those who don't drink sake regularly.
And it's only around 200 yen for 180ml 😳.
If college students start with this kind of sake, they may have less prejudice against sake 🤔.

This sake is the pride of the local Kobe-based Kikumasakin Sake Brewery.
It looks like it was selected as a Great Value Sake at this year's IWC 2024!
We toasted 🍻 with draft beer to moisten our throats before serving 😄.
It was outside, and I couldn't really tell what the top-tasting aroma was.
Somehow it seems to have a slightly sweet soft aroma.
Smooth and light texture on the palate.
A juice-like fruity sweet flavor comes in all the way, and it cuts off smoothly with a slight refreshing acidity.
There is a slightly characteristic complexity after the mid-palate, like the remnants of grain.
However, the flavor is very juice-like and flows smoothly to begin with, so the complexity does not bother me that much.
At less than 250 yen for 180 ml, it is easy to carry and cost-effective without the hassle of temperature control, etc.

And one of the things I was looking for, a sake lees soup drinking contest, was already sold out🤣.
They were also holding a fundraiser to support sake breweries in the Hokuriku region, so I donated for a four-pack of sake 😀.
Unfortunately, I tried to compare sake with those I don't usually drink 😀.
I chose Hamafukutsuru, Chiyodaya, Tokuwaka and Senzuke.
I was especially happy to be able to compare 3 different types of sake, as I have always wanted to try Senzuke.
I gave up on buying it because I don't have any room in my fridge at all right now, but it became a sake I want to take home soon 😀.
They were also holding a donation campaign for the sake breweries in the Hokuriku region, so I donated a four-pack of sake bottles 😀.

There were 2 kinds of sake in paper cups, Shibaotan, Shiraotan and Kamito, and I chose Shibaotan because Shiraotan had added sugar and Kamito was old.
It has a classic taste, but it has a sourness that makes it easier to drink than I expected 😋.

It seems that the specs of the same Hakusetsu barrel sake are different between the cup and the 4-gouple bottle, the 4-gouple bottle looks spicier and has a higher alcohol content.
