The second bottle is a sparkling sake from Tosatsuru.
A food sake with a low alcohol content of 12% and a strong gassy taste.
It is one that can be recommended for beginners 🍶.
We received this bottle as a gift from an acquaintance.
A fine bottle with just the right amount of sweetness and sharpness.
It was very delicious. 🙆♂️
We have been drinking a bottle of Mimuro Sugi every month, and this time it is a Junmai Daiginjo, Sake Mirai.
It has a light, sweet and sour taste that is typical of Mimuro Sugi, and is a really fine bottle. 🙆♂️
The only brand that won was Mimuro Sugi, my guess, lol.
The second bottle today is Kingfisher's Journey.
I knew it as a sake that goes well with chocolate, but I didn't know where to find it and finally got it this time: 🙆♂️
A sweet, slightly bitter and sharp bottle.
It was surprisingly harmonious when served with chocolate 🍫.
At home drinking.
It's been a while since I've had Hanayuup🍶.
It was lighter than I expected for an Omachi sake, but it was a wonderful sweet, fruity, easy-drinking sake: 🙆♂️
The second bottle was Bunkajin from Kochi.
I thought it would be light and dry, typical of Kochi sake, but it tasted a little more modern and cool. The taste was similar to that of Nara's Mimuro Sugi.
Two pieces purchased at the newly opened KITTE Osaka.
The first one is It Key.
It is sweet with a hint of sourness, almost like a sweet wine.
I think it is a perfect aperitif dessert drink. 🙆♂️
Today we watched a high school baseball game at Koshien Stadium: ⚾️
I drank some locally brewed sake from Shimane Prefecture, the same prefecture where Taisha High School won a dramatic victory the day before.
Since cans and bottles are not allowed in Koshien Stadium, I was glad to see that they sell pouches of sake like this.
The sake was clean and dry, and with the rice polishing ratio of 58%, it seemed to have less of a cloying taste.
It was a good sake. 🙆♂️
The third bottle today is a Junmai Daiginjo from Kido that I bought back home for my parents.
A high level bottle, sweet, fruity and sharp. 🙆♂️
I can recommend it to beginners.
The second glass was at Heiwa Brewery, the store across the street, which is directly owned by Kido.
It has a refreshing taste with a hint of sourness that makes you think it is not 15% alcohol.
This is what summer sake is all about.
Today I drank alone at Wakayama City Station.
I dared to choose neither Kido nor Kurogyu, but Nanpo.
It is a light, slightly bitter, yet dry drink 🍶.
The brewery seems to be located a few minutes walk from Wakayama City Station.
The second bottle is Haruka.
A bottle with a fruity aroma, a hint of sweetness, freshness and alcohol 🍶.
I thought it tasted similar to the Mansaku no Hana from the same Akita region that I drank before!
After work.
I bought this sake expecting it to be sweet and fruity, but it was a sake with a strong rice flavor.
But the lack of miscellaneous tastes makes it easy to drink. 🙆♂️
The second glass is a hard-to-find brand that is hard to find in Kansai.
It has a gorgeous fruity taste like pineapple, and the sweet and sourness is in full swing😅!
This one is very good lol.
I can see why it is so popular.
At an izakaya in Umeda.
They have local sake from 47 prefectures, and the first drink was Reimei, a sake from Japan's southernmost sake brewery.
It tastes like Awamori, like Okinawa, but it also has a sourness that makes it a good mid-meal drink. 🙆♂️
We are now only one prefecture away from conquering all 47 prefectures of Japan!
The second bottle was Tama-Asahi, brought by a friend.
I thought it had a good rice flavor and dryness, and was a good summer sake for a meal. 🙆♂️
The label is very nice. ☺️
At a friend's house.
First, let's start with the summer sake I was interested in, Summer Boulud: 🏝️
It's a nigori sake with a firm sweet and sour to crispiness that makes it easy to drink lol.
It was really tasty!
The third bottle was Jusui, a local sake from Tsuruoka.
This one was sweet and juicy, with a sweetness more like Wasanbon sugar than fruity.
The brewery seems to be a neighbor of Eiko-Fuji's brewery, but it was as good as Eiko-Fuji!
The second bottle is also a Nagano sake, Masumi's summer sake: 🏝️
This is a summer sake with a hint of sweet and sourness and a sharpness that is perfect for summer.
It is also low-alcohol and easy to drink!
The first bottle for drinking at home is a summer sake from Seimasamune.
Slightly carbonated and fruity, it is easy to drink with a gentle taste.
At 14 degrees, it is a low-alcohol sake that I would recommend to beginners. 🙆♂️
