The season for heating sake has arrived. A strong flavor and acidity. Goes well with strong snacks. It is also surprisingly good chilled.
PS: It tastes better hot!
The fruity and bitter flavors are perfect, and the name doesn't overshadow the taste. It tastes better chilled, and I'm glad I opened it this season.
Maybe a thinner snack would be better to enjoy the drink.
This sake has a firm acidity and rice aroma, yet is quite refreshing. It is delicious and can be paired with anything. I drank it chilled, but I think it would also be outstanding at room temperature in winter with nabe (hot pot).
I opened a bottle of sake I bought on a trip to Sado Island. It is refreshingly dry. Still, it has a nice umami flavor, which is typical of a sake made in a rice-producing region. I want to drink it simply with sashimi. Delicious!
There was nothing to do because of the typhoon, so I procured some at a local liquor store. It is a gentle sake that does not make your taste buds tingle. It is a good summer sake with a deep flavor, but it goes down easily.
I wanted a white ale beer but didn't have any at home... but then I opened the bottle to see if there was a banana yeast brew. It took me a while to open it, and it tastes better for being rushed. LOL!
The taste is sweet, and I think it would go well with corn from Hokkaido. Maybe some Kyushu soy sauce? The slightly carbonated flavor also seems to go well with fish. This is the first time I've had sake from Hokkaido, but the quality is very high.
I finally opened the one I bought just a year ago at the Kumamoto game. It has a strong bitter taste and really smells like flowers. It is interesting because it tastes like no other sake.
It has a strong flavor, a little melon-like. I paired it with Japanese food, but it could also be drunk on its own or with cheese. Sake is delicious! It was a delicious sake that will make you say, "Sake is delicious!
The aroma is weak for a sake from this region, and the flavor is deep. It is crisp when drunk chilled, but at room temperature, the sweetness stands out and the flavor is delicious.
We had salted fish and satsuma-age (fried fish) from Kagoshima, so we had Fukuoka sake. I don't think there was any Hirao in Kurume, though.
It is more bitter than I imagined. I can feel the umami when I roll it around on my tongue.
New sake bought in the fall. I missed the timing to drink it cold and it has passed the winter. It has a nice freshness with a hint of green fruits. When I drink this kind of refreshing cold sake, I feel spring and summer.
I got some Fukushima gourmet food, so I used Fukushima sake. It has a strong taste and just a little bit of stimulation on the tongue. Standard and tasty. It seems to go well with any kind of food.
