We went on a sake brewery tour at Ishikawa Sake Brewery, a 5-minute cab ride from Haijima on the Chuo Line from Tokyo. ❤️
We were shown the brewery where they make sake and the brewery where they make beer, and were given detailed explanations and tasting samples. ‼️
At the beer hut, there was a freshly baked pizza and many appetizers made with sakekasu (sake lees), which was really delicious. ❣️
As a souvenir, I bought a bottle of Tamanjumo Hana Ginjo.
It has a very gorgeous aroma and tastes dry and clean, very delicious 😋.
Thank you very much ❣️
I bought this [sweetness-obsessed ⭐︎ mellow junmai ginjo] at Ishikawa Shuzo's Appreciation Day.
Beautiful yellow-green color. The aroma is of the Wasanbon type. The mouthfeel is light and smooth.
The taste is...sweet, this is sweet. It has a sugarcane-like sweetness with no fruitiness. The slightly greenish atmosphere is also cane-like. The finish is austere, so you don't get tired of drinking it.
But how can they serve something different every month? I'm really impressed.
Today is Ishikawa Brewery's Appreciation Day. We received this Junmai Nama-nihonjunshu (pure rice sake) as the third month of the "Stamp Rally"! Stamp Rally], so we had this Junmai Nama Nama Sake.
The lingering summer heat is still very hot, and although I first had a craft beer, Tama no Blessing Pilsner, there was a rather cool breeze, and I could feel the footsteps of autumn. That being the case, we decided to open a bottle of sake as well...so we opened a bottle of this one.
It has a sweet melon aroma. The rich sweetness and umami spreads in the mouth as it thickens. The sweetness has a bitter taste like brown sugar, making it a very strong flavor. It is also delicious on the rocks.
This is the 6th month of participating in the Thanksgiving Day. It was so hot that I was about to give up, but I was right to come.
It seems like I eat dashimaki tamago (rolled egg) every time...
I too participated in the Thanksgiving Day brewery tour yesterday! I see you were able to join us?
I enjoyed it as well!
And it's amazing that it's been 6 months!
Taman's signature junmai unfiltered, limited edition Takke label for the Fussa Tanabata Festival. Reasonably priced and delicious sake with plenty of flavor and sweetness. The candy color is also beautiful and pleasing. Tamanjushin has a lot of variations, so I tend to gravitate toward them, but after a long time, drinking the standard Junmai Unfiltered is a pleasant and relaxing experience, both in price and taste.
This is the first Omachi version of Tamanjobu.
I see that sake breweries in West Tokyo are also taking on various challenges.
I have yet to understand the characteristics of Omachi, and I think it is a little grassy ....... I am not sure what it is yet.
I really don't know. ......
I am still not sure about the characteristics of Oumachi and I think it is a little grassy!
.
Tama's pride and joy is this summer draft sake!
This sake is quite powerful, both fruity and punchy!
It is the perfect sake to drink on a hot summer night, when sake is the main ingredient.
It has a strong flavor, so we enjoy it on the rocks, slowly.
Place of purchase】Ogikubo Town Seven
Hamo no nanbanzuke (hamo no nanbanzuke)
This is a Japanese dish that is supposed to be served on the rocks, but I just ate it as it is. It is supposed to be drunk on the rocks, but we started with it as it is. It is easy to drink with a light aftertaste and a strong umami.
Then ice was added. The flavor is not diluted, but it cools down and is even better.

Direct-packaged, warehouse-bought sake purchased at the recent Ishikawa Sake Brewery Appreciation Day, "Sweet Youth! Refreshing Junmai Ginjo". It is characterized by a rich bitterness like cocoa. It has a rich, cocoa-like bitterness, and although it is masked by the bitterness, it has a richness that seems to have a lot of sugar content. Is the youth element bitter or sweet? Sweetness?
I found it in the all-you-can-drink. So I didn't expect much, but I was excited when I saw the color. It has a perfect acidity, the type I like. I just kept on drinking.
Taman Boast's Tokyo no Mori received at Ishikawa Brewery's June Appreciation Day. It is a so-called taru-shu. Unlike the directly bottled taru-shu available at the Appreciation Day, the cedar aroma is gentle and gentle.
Hana-saku Junmai-shu, a directly bottled Junmai-shu, was purchased at Ishikawa Shuzo's June Appreciation Day. The aroma is gorgeous and refreshing, like a combination of green apple and pineapple. The taste is impressive with a fruity sweetness that goes well with the fine bubbles. The bitterness in the aftertaste is reminiscent of pineapple.
