We opened a bottle of Banshu Ikkyo summer sake, a favorite of the wife, to thank her for another hot week.
I breathed a sigh of relief when I didn't skip the cork the first time I was warned to open the bottle 😌.
First, let's start with the supernatant.
The top clearnace is delicious with a slight gasiness, followed by a refreshing sweetness and acidity 😋.
Then, stirring.
The aroma is fresh and pear-like, and the bitterness added to the umami and sourness makes the cup go down even further.
I've had this sake in the fall, spring, and summer, but this one is delicious without question 😊.
It will also blow away the fatigue of the weekend. ⭕️
