Sake My Life
Purchased at Arakawa Sake Shop, Okazaki, Aichi.
The aroma is restrained but gorgeously fruity.
The taste is sweet and full with an emphasis on sharpness.
It may sound like a bad way to describe it, but it is the kind of sake that is often found in bars these days. The lingering aftertaste (alcohol taste) is a bit tedious.
I still remember the shock of drinking this pink Kido (I think it was all Yamada) four or five years ago.
The softness that can be felt from start to finish is definitely felt, and the drinkability plus the strength (density) of the flavor makes an impact.
I can see why it was ranked in the top 5 at the Sendai Sake Summit, but I personally prefer a more subdued taste.
Please try it.
