This is a sake from my hometown - Echizen Ono (Ono City, Fukui Prefecture). It used to be sold at roadside stations, but I looked for it again on my return trip, but I didn't seem to see much of it in the city. I wondered if they are limiting the amount of brewing - or if they are just out of stock. This is the one I found in my parents' fridge. Cool and pungent. A cool spiciness, followed by a nice, clean rice flavor. Then, a strong wave of spiciness hits you. The spiciness swells up while accepting freshness, umami, and sweetness. The intense flavor is intoxicating. After all, Genpei is delicious. I found out that Genpei Shuzo went bankrupt last November, and the direct sales shop was closed. The story of the bankruptcy and revival of the brewery was also seen in the morning drama "Ranman," and I look forward to the time when I can experience the taste of Genpei again.

This is a sake from my hometown - Ono City, Oku-Echizen region, Fukui Prefecture. I bought this sake when I went back home for summer vacation, and it just appeared. A sake brewery in Shiwa-machi, Shiwa-gun, Iwate Prefecture, the birthplace of the Nanbu Touji clan. The oldest sake brewery in Iwate, Azumamine Sake Brewery. Founded in 1684, which means... Edo period (@_@) I admire the continuous efforts and wisdom of the people who have kept this taste and this brewery alive since time immemorial. That is why we can enjoy this taste now. Thank you ( ´ oo ` ` ) The taste is sweet and refreshing without being boring to drink. Excellent as a food sake.

Continuing our night in Omiya This restaurant serves delicious fish, so we had sashimi, grilled sardines, grilled sea bream, stewed summer vegetables, and more 😋 The price is a bit expensive, but it was a nice and lively restaurant 😅🤗. Next up was Azumamine, which was also a first for me 😙 and it was delicious 😍. I don't remember how to describe the taste 😅 it was just so good 😊. After that we switched to 🍋lemon sours and since the restaurant was 2.5 hours open, we ended the meal with salmon ikura takikomi-gohan (rice cooked with salmon roe) and were very satisfied! Since it was still early, we moved to a restaurant in the station building to talk over dessert! My son ordered a parfait😄We looked at the menu and thought we would have a glass of champagne, but the bottle seemed more economical than a glass, so we ordered a bottle 🍾. The waiter opened the bottle and put it on the table! We were a little bit surprised when the waiter opened the bottle in front of our table and put it on the table 😅. We drank a lot with Fish & Chips and had a good conversation with my son, even though it was a short time 😌. Omiya was a great city 😇

Just a bunch of drinkers who love oysters and sake 😊I had been wanting to go to a restaurant in Fuchu with Nochi-san and Yuka-chan and we started drinking early on a Saturday. We had a great time, but it wasn't much, as we split one cup of sake between the three of us and drank 10 cups. The oysters were as good as their reputation, and since oysters are also drinks, I wonder how many drinks we drank 🧐. I've already introduced you to Imadaiji🦪, which Yucachin brought, so I'll go with this one, which was delicious and memorable. It is sold at Koyama Sake Shop in Azumamine. It's sweet and tasty and perfect for my taste, so I had to have another one. I also had another glass of Kariho's Oyster Lovers Rock, which was written to go well with oysters, so that's 8 pictures but 10 glasses. Igarashi sake is also delicious, and the first Sen was delicious and went well with the oysters. I also had a bottle of Toyoka, which I drink a lot in Nagano 😊Fukkai and Kagiya were both delicious. We ate and drank as much as we wanted, and even had a conversation with some Osaka people during the course of the meal. It was a very enjoyable drinking party. ❤️ I had a stomachache in the middle of the night and thought, "No way? I thought "No way?" but it was just gastritis. ⭐️Good, good, good.

Purchased at the Takashimaya Sake Festival. The one that impressed me the most after tasting several kinds of Kunihiki. It is sweet and fruity. It has a sourness like citrus. It has a slightly long bitter taste that is heavy at first and lingers on the palate. It is a small sip, but if you drink it heavily, it is bitter and you may not like it... As soon as it hits your tongue, you feel a little bit of sweetness and a thin lingering bitterness... If you like sake that is crisp and has a short aftertaste... You may not like it... If you want to match it with food, I feel that you have to fight it with tempura and other dishes with strong flavors such as salt or boiled vegetables... If the food is light in flavor... I think this sake might make it hard to taste the food... Personally, I feel it's like shochu (it's a freshly stored sake)... On the other hand, people who enjoy the richness of sweetpotato shochu might enjoy it... Personally, I prefer a refreshing type... Overall rating C (S-D)
