Next up was the Ittiki Senzan Comet Nama-no-Hara Sake. The only sake from Gifu that I know of is Ikki Senzan, so I thought I'd give it a try. It was a brand that had just been opened. It was a brand that had just been opened, so I liked the way the flavor was firmly on the tongue. The sweetness was not too strong and flowed down the throat easily. This is the first hit I've had in a long time. I wanted to drink it slowly, but I had to keep up with the pace of my grandchildren. I was getting too hungry to let them play with their toys, so I quickly settled my bill. Today is Valentine's Day!👩‍❤️‍👨 This Sake paired very well with the filet mignon I prepared for my wife. There is a full mouth feel with umami. There is a light smoke flavor and wood. The aftertaste is short.

Cowboy bought me this as a souvenir from Niigata! Yay! Yamahai is great! The design is cool too! It's crisp and mellow, and I drank a bottle so fast... I want to drink it again!

Late night at the diner. The second one is a limited edition sake that is sold only on two days before the brewery opens. This year's bottle is called "Gokuragiri Limited Edition" on the label. This one has a sweet taste of rice. It's different from the earlier Sukkiri, but it's thicker. It's not my favorite, but it's the kind of sake I want to drink a little bit of every day. Purchased on a business trip to Tokyo to try it. Almost a year later, I finally opened the bottle. It is sweet, with a hint of acidity, maybe the work of wine yeast. Finally, the rice flavor tastes like Koshihikari from Tango. Bats for sure. The 22nd year was brewed with Italian rice called Carnaroli, which I wanted to drink.
